  1. Hi, has anyone received the link from dansez for ordering the leotards yet, hoping I haven’t missed the email? I know ENBS have emailed about the other uniform info coming by the end of the week but thought we might have had the leotard link.

  2. I’m after some advice we are due to start looking at upper schools for DD to start sept 2024 I was just reading on DADA’s our work income will be within the income scales but we cashed in a large lump sum from a pension last month to extend the house and this would take us over the 90,000 for the year but it was a one off and wouldn’t obviously be happening every year. Would they include this in our income as we’ve been taxed on it?

  3. Hi my DD has really strong feet and we struggle to find pointe shoes that last! We started with Bloch then moved to r class and she’s now wearing the freed studio professional hards, these look lovely and she loves dancing in them but they are lasting 1-2 weeks max and is getting expensive. Someone suggested the new virtesse does anyone have any experience with them?

  4. If they are on the older side spare pointe shoes or jet glue. All classes other than general class are on pointe and DD’s pointe shoes died half way through we had to drop some off early Saturday morning so she could do the demonstration on pointe.

  5. DD’s just got back from week 1 and will be back again for week 3. She said they aren’t allowed to use the swimming pool this year. She didn’t take a gym mat as she didn’t use hers at Easter and was fine.
she’s 15 and one evening went into Harrogate on the bus for dinner with her new friends she’d made, so if on the older side maybe some spending money 😂

Does anyone have any idea on the faculty teaching this year?

There seems to be nothing on social media or the website ?

We found out the week before for the Easter residential, they email who the class teachers and house parents will be.

We are still struggling to make a decision.  I wish ENB would send some information out.  I haven't been filled with confidence with the comments about ENB on this thread but I appreciate that this was a while ago.

    Hi,

My DD decided on ENBS she’s currently year 10 and would like to audition there so she thought it would hopefully give her an insight.
I wish they would send the info out so we have some idea though. I am hoping with the increased hours it is going to be better than peoples previous experiences she really enjoyed the audition.

That makes sense @FlexyNexy, especially as I believe there was a ‘pre-application’ sifting via video. Thankfully my DD is averse to anything that involves videos otherwise it would basically have been a £35 or so application fee with no guarantee you’d be able to audition or be seen in person. I’m not sure how many applied and how many they invited to audition in person. However, I did see from a number of social media posts that some of those offered places were already in full time vocational school anyway. I know there are mixed opinions on full time students attending associates schemes but this is another example of that.

DD said there were 34 at senior finals, I believe the application video was the same as the one they use for the upper school application.
there were some vocational girls as well as current associates from RBS and Central.

I was wondering this too - my 14 year old has an offer of a senior associate place. She is also auditioning at Central although it’s on a train strike day so it’s going to be tricky. Central’s associate programme is all day and includes more (Pilates and pas de deux), does anyone have any experience of them and how they compare - how to choose? I’ve noticed from Instagram announcements that the same girls have offers from RBS, ENBS associates etc so how to make a decision?

We are meant to be auditioning at central as well, but I think DD is going to accept the ENBS associates place . I’m now unsure whether we should email to say she’s not attending centrals audition or still go for the audition practice but I worry if she does end up being offered a place there as well and turns it down if it would count against her next year if she applies for their upper course. So hard to know what to do for the best!

  10. My daughters been offered a senior associate place I was just re-reading the application pack and I think they have changed the format the classes are going to be 3 1/2 hours and they will be studying the rambert contemporary syllabus on alternate weeks and character on the other weeks. It says they may be performance opportunities in the winter showcase and summer show as well.

  11. Hi my daughter wears a size small in most brands she’s a UK 4/6 she has both small and medium yumikos but prefers the mediums as she has a longer body and finds the straps on the small size irritate her.

This is the first year they have offered a purely classical intensive. DS is a student at the school and will be attending the intensive: feel free to DM me any questions x

Thank you, she’s been offered a few summer intensives so we were trying to weigh up which ones to accept. She met some girls at YBS who go to the Hammond so likes the idea of going to this one. X

  14. My DD is 15, she’s just done the Easter intensive, is a ballet boost senior associate and does the ABA London vocational programme. She started with them in September and we would never look back, the improvements she’s made are amazing, the teachers and all the staff are extremely encouraging and supportive.

Currently DD is doing Ballet Boost for Easter, I had looked at Malvern and also Moorland too! We can do Central but wanted DD to experience a residential as she is day school for vocational

I think Hammond do a residential for the summer
