We know of lots of no’s so far.
-
We’ve heard of some people who had their upper school audition results today.
-
We have given up our place too, fingers crossed for you

A lot of areas have their half term the following week beginning 19th this year. I wonder if that’s why they extended the application date as they didn’t have the normal amount of applications due to the differing term dates!
it’s usually 2 weeks following closing date for results but it is cutting it close to make arrangements now.

Hi
would anyone be able to message me with an idea on what the fees are to attend? My daughter is looking to audition but there is no mention of the costs anywhere.

They have extended the closing date to the 8th Jan now so assume we won’t hear until later now.

Where have you auditioned so far? My daughter’s teacher told her that different schools are looking for different things and you never know what it is, but that the right fit for you will come along. As long as you’ve tried your best that’s all you can do.
There may be other schools you could consider as well, I’m sure some of the members on the forum who have gone through the process may be able to suggest some.- 2

The emails went out on 21st December last year so I assume it’ll be around the same time.

@La sylphide did you hear back about the academic reference for RSC? I am also unsure what is best for that.
Hi
Yes they asked us to find someone we knew who was a teacher and get them to look at her school work and give a reference as they must have some form of academic reference.

Do you get to watch it in the studio too?
Yes they do watching and Q&A sessions usually. There were 2 viewing sessions for the autumn intensive this year on the last day you could book one and the Q&A was after the 2nd session. When we did the spring one there was just the one watching session that everyone went to.

Did anyone on this years Autumn intensive receive a video of the sharing of work? I understood they were going to send it out.
No, still waiting on the one for the spring intensive last year as well!

RCS haven’t updated their selection process on their website yet. Has anyone managed to find out anything about their photographic requirements? We’ve had the auditions photos taken already because of RBS’s early deadline and hoping we’ve got what we need for RCS!
A lot of the other schools have changed to just wanting a head shot fingers crossed they will be the same.
I emailed them back at the beginning of September about the educational reference as my daughter is home schooled and still haven’t received any response. -
We sent in our tring screening info and have received an audition date for January 14 2024. I was expecting it to be November as this is the audition date currently showing on the website as not full. Has anyone else received a later date?

Do you mind me asking how long they took to inform you of decision acceptance/waiting list etc Im wondering whether to email to check they received everything as its been nearly a week.
Ours was a few days but she’s an associate there so not sure if that made it quicker.

How far in advance do photographers tend to get booked up? My dc is going into Year 10.....want to be prepared
DD is auditioning this year and we started contacting photographers a couple of weeks ago, they all had just started booking for audition shoots. We decided on photography by ash in the end.

On the topic of photos does anyone have any idea on ideal leotard colour for pictures? Someone’s recommended a degas one to us but we weren’t sure if certain colours are better for the audition pictures.
-
We’ve had an email today offering her a place, so think they are doing them as they get the applications.

it says they will allocate places on a rolling basis for the autumn intensive on the website this year, so it might be worth applying early you could hear sooner that way x

We heard on the 4th October last year. My DD enjoyed it but she does say they aren’t as good as YBS in her opinion.

We found the cheaper ones lost their colour quickly. DD used capezio soft waistband when she was younger but now uses the imperfect pointes tights they are expensive but DD says they look the best and are really comfy.
