A part of Rambert's Murder, Mystery and Party dance works, A Linha Curva is a highly exciting and energetic piece by Itzik Galili. Lighting you might call creative but to photograph, a challenge. Some members of the Rambert Ballet School joined the company in the ensemble parts. The four percussionist (on stage) that accompany the dance were exceptional. On till Saturday at Sadlers Wells.

The Cloud Gate Theatre of Taiwan return to the Sadlers WellsTheatre with tons of brown rice, sadly we were only shown the one extract as there are technical difficulties with the rice circle which requires some time to prepare. What we saw was elegant and moving. Until the 7th May.

We took our 9 and 7 year old grandchildren to the Saturday matinee and they were very excited. The seven year old GD preferred the second act as Cedric (Little Lord Fauntleroy) was so kind and generous to so many children. Little Luke Wragg was excellent as was Lily O'Regan who sadly missed out on the lead of last years production of Snow White due to an injury. Well done to all the cast.

This year's presentation from London Children's Ballet is based on one of Frances Hodgson Burnett 's trilogy - Little Lord Fauntleroy. Four performances from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th April at the Peacock Theatre. If you have little children or grandchildren or nieces and nephews it is a great way to introduce them to dance in a fun way. The children are a delight and joy to watch. Try to get there.

Also at the bare stage Sadlers Wells, interesting that after a few minutes one was not aware at the lack of scenery and tried hard to follow the story. Although captions were projected it was not easy to read them and take pictures at the same time, here are a some more pictures from the rehearsal.

It was a very pleasant occasion and a great opportunity to see the people involved in the Ballets - Dancers, Choreographers and Artistic Directors. Many thanks to Graham Watts and the members of the Critics' Circle Dance Section for carrying on this worthwhile tradition enjoyed by all present, nominees as well as the winners.

That sounds possible but who would choose the pictures? Perhaps allocate certain months to certain photographers. The moderators would be good at choosing the right images

So what do you think of the two BBC4 programmes. Some interesting clips in the first one, wish they were longer. In the second ("modern") one the clips were too long. That's what I thought.

A slightly disappointing evening as we were only allowed to photograph two sections from the programme. It would have been great to photograph Zenaida Yanowski in her three pieces and other parts of the programme. The cast was fully costumed. So here are a couple of pictures from my set.

Speaking of programmes, has anyone got a programme of LFB at Golders Green Hippodrome for the evening performance 21st February 1957. I know it is a shot in the dark but the LFB archive is missing that one and I would like a sight of it.
