Well I got my free programme for a R&J performance weeks ago.  Someone has got this wrong

Just tried to claim my free programme for Swan Lake and got refused!! Apparently they can only offer it from 13th March??? It's kind of ridiculous really seeing as it's for the same production, literally a week later... I explained I knew people here who have already claimed their free programme; but they said its the policy now and they recommended me to email customer services? 😪 I know I'm not attending a performance after 13th March, the next one I'm attending is for Monday...  anyone have any advice on how to go about emailing them about this?

  2. @capybara Thanks so much for your insights these are really helpful! Glad to see that hopefully the performance itself probably won't go into too much overtime. Although it must be bittersweet for the fans.

@Dawnstar Glad to see I'm not the only one! Thanks for sharing your experiences, that's really interesting. Does that mean you had the attention of Mr Bonelli all to yourself?😲 that must have been something to remember!

  3. Would anyone have a rough idea as to when tomorrow's performance may actually end? Although I'm very grateful to be attending Federico's last performance, I have never been to a principal's 'official last performance' before, and have no idea what to expect (i.e. how many curtain calls? would there be speeches?) ... Just thinking in terms of logistics and train times, as I still have to travel over an hour to get back, and I hope I'm not the only one!

Also, can we expect him to exit via stage door, and if so, would this take longer than usual?? I do have experience waiting after performances to meet dancers at stage door, usually they take max 30 minutes to show up, however considering this is his last official performance, would we possibly have to wait longer, say an hour?

  4. Here is a link to a Japanese interview with Federico Bonelli, very interesting and insightful, as it was published only yesterday! Although the text is in Japanese, if you use Google translate I believe the translation is fairly accurate (as I can understand both languages).

If there is any passage that might be unclear, I may be able to clarify :)

  7. As a Young ROH ticket holder, I was fortunate enough to be sat front row Stalls Circle, where I was able to clearly see facial expressions really well. It was my very first time seeing Vadim, and I for one was definitely moved by his and Yasmine's performance. I'm also sure I wasn't the only one; after the first act, I could hear numerous people in SC singing their praises and saying it was 'phenomenal'.  Its quite hard to explain, but I thought Vadim brought out something in Yasmine that I haven't seen before with her and Matthew Ball. I was actually quite skeptical before the performance, as I only ever saw Yasmine with Matthew, and once in Don Quixote with Marcelino, but I have to say I believe I witnessed the start of another beautiful partnership in Naghdi/Muntagirov. Also, was it just me that found the height difference really satisfiying?! At least in that they compliment each other really well, as well as in their technique. I haven't seen the other Juliets yet (have booked for Kaneko/Bracewell on Sat), but I believe Yasmine may be known for being one of the most dramatic and expressive Juliets, she certainly came across as very 'strong' and 'independent' and even 'fierce' in the 3rd Act, definitely more so than before.

I'm optimistic and very hopeful that the Naghdi/Muntagirov pairing will grow from strength to strength, in the future, if they will get paired up again!

  8. Does anyone know if its possible to view the cast other than the main pairing for Romeo and Juliet online? Or will we not know until the day? When looking at performances I have booked for, there is a button saying 'view cast sheet' which I assumed meant viewing the full cast, but it just redirects me to the booking page with no further information.
