In our audition email from Hammond it said “if your child is not offered MDS award we do not currently have bursary or scholarship funds but have a restricted number of small fee remissions” My dd is going for year 10.

Hi I know this is for year 7 entry but wondering if anyone is doing the years 9/10 audition at Hammond on Monday?

My DD loved it aswell. Wonder how long until the results come out?

My DD has been having knee pain for the past couple of years on and off and I finally got round to taking her to a physio who said it stems from weak hips, she hardly has any strength or resistance in her right side which cause tightness in the IT Band (?) and the knee cap to lean in therefore causing knee pain. Said it can be sorted with strengthening exercises. She is 13 and tall and the physio said it can be to do with growing fast. Does anyone have any advice other than the excercises? I wondered if pilates or similar would help i've seen some good online classes. Thank you.

My dd just started scholars, she absolutely LOVES the ballet and pointe but hates the jazz 😖 anyone else’s child the same?

For anyone on SWL I emailed RBS yesterday to find out if there had been any movement on the waiting list and they said all JA centres are full as everyone has accepted their places, the only way a place would be come available is if someone withdraws. Also they are not upping their intake with the easing of COVID restrictions .

I think there are quite a few do the vocal class. My DD doesnt as she has singing lessons anyway and as the vocal class is normally before the Scholars session it would mean leaving home earlier for us as we live 2 hours away from Leeds.
Might see you at the intensive if you can get her booked on xx
Yes hopefully fingers crossed 🤞

Thank you!! Not as yet but I’m going to book her on today if there’s still places. Also wondering whether to do the vocals class? Do most do it do you know?

Good luck to your DD BusyDancemum.
My Dd is starting her 5th year with Scholars in September, and loves it. They have been brilliant all through out this crazy past 18 months, and it is somewhere she is seriously considering for full time training.
@Pixiewoothank you so much. It sounds fantastic!

No, but my DD will be starting in her 3rd year with Scholars in Sept and she loves it, she is also auditioning for full time there for next Sept and Mr Howland has certainly brought back her passion for ballet over the past few years. It is a very good programme with high quality training. Huge good luck to your DC
Thats fab! My DD has done lots of things over the years and i've never seen her this enthuasiastic. Good luck to your DD aswell

This is probably a silly question but how do we get to the boarding houses and how do we know where to go?
