May I ask how many boys were in the second group today? Anyway, I like they were given the souvenir bag, nice little detail.

There is nothing more stressful than turning up at your hotel the night before an audition and realising it has closed down!!!! Luckily premier inn squeezed us in! @balletdreamsmust have been the same hotel only they forgot to email me to tell me....I haven't even bought wine!
OMG! Glad your sorted something out.

@Lara Eschler We are week 1 too, I just had to re-check the application.
Great! I need to re-check too, the acceptance form does not give you the dates again. Looking forward to it. xx

There was an afternoon group too. Xx
Oh Ok makes sense, do you know how many places there are?

My ds loved it today. I am a bit confused, was there only one boys group of 11? How many do they take?

I am wondering this too! Yes it looked like maybe 30ish kids this morning I thought? x
We decided not to go, just a bit complicated logistically ( Sort of regretting it..it seems like an amazing school). Glad everyone had fun!

Good Luck to Everyone today at the Hammond!!!

I'll be glad when it's over too. I can't concentrate on my research project I'm supposed to be doing today and I've still got a lesson to plan for tomorrow but my head is all over the place. Luckily it doesn't appear to be bothering my son in the same way. I think this is worse that waiting for news for anything I've ever done for myself 😂
I'm at home today and not in school so I'll see his school teacher at the gate this afternoon and see if he's been different in class at all, but at home he seems his usual self.
It is all consuming and a long rollercoaster ride.
I have to remind myself that back in 2016 I was waiting for medical results and endless investigations for my youngest ds, and now to just have to wait for the results of prestigious ballet schools seems like a luxury. We are all very fortunate to have our healthy amazing children even if they don't have the perfect turnout or hamstrings or arch or might not get into a top school this year.

I guess most people would wait to weigh up their options once all results are out (from other schools) so I can’t imagine they’ll push for immediate responses from the lucky ones who get a yes. So yes, still a long wait to go, I imagine.
I don’t have much hope for a WL yes for DS but really really keeping fingers tightly crossed for an MA place (but we are prepared for a no on that too).
We are planning on trying for Central too. Will take new photos and apply once this result is out.
That reminds me, I have submitted the most horrendous photos for central, lol, it was late and wanted to get it done. The application is only 15 pounds though which is great, just the price of a class really. DS has to give up Tring CBA to do JAs next term which is a shame but we want to finish the JA programme and with live classes.

My ds associate teacher said realistically looking at May to find out about MA’s . There is a lot of shuffling around with accepting or rejecting places etc first
I think people who get offers for a full-time place have a short period of time to accept. I did not realize it would be until May for Associates. I have to start looking at other Associates Schemes too. We are applying for Central School of Ballet which has the audition of 5th of June. I cant wait to know what ds is doing next year for sure.

It was actually the audition on the Saturday 29th Feb and they found out Tuesday 3rd March!!!!
I don’t want it before Elmhurst audition ( unless in the unlikely event it’s good news of course). I just won’t tell ds if it’s bad news before Elmhurst.
Happy birthday to your ds for tomorrow xxThank you so much! So I got the dates wrong so the results would have been yesterday if same as last year? It would probably be later this year then with people who could not attend, etc. I thought of not telling him but he has access to social media, etc. We are very prepared for a no, but would prefer it after Elmhurst too. xx
-
Good morning everyone,
Looking at last year dates, it seems like the boys got the results 5 days after the audition, so this would be tomorrow. Does anyone know more about dates for boys who could not attend in person or people abroad?
I actually really would prefer not to get results tomorrow (as it is ds birthday and right before Elmhurst, lol).

Good luck Everyone! Have a great time!!!

The first one I did was immediate (like 2 or 3 minutes) but the second, more recent one took about 4 hours.
Oh really, wow.

A question from the boys groups when you did the lateral flow tests and put the results into the website did the text come through straight away/ soon after?
Yes, it was nearly instant.

Haha maybe that’s because I interrogated him all the way home 😆😆
Me too, whilst getting exasperated as some of the things he initially told me were incoherent.

Yes, same group. If your DS didn’t then he wasn’t the only one to not have this test. Only on googling from what he’s explained I think it’s a measure of turnout range. If they can already see it maybe they wouldn’t need to test for it? (My DS doesn’t have anywhere near flat turnout, standing or in frog...the tummy one with legs in a diamond, he said they did that too).
That's cool I learned something new, did not know what a goniometer was. My ds must have not being paying attention and just did not do the ones on his tummy in the class.
