Has anyone heard the outcome of the Hammond audition on Monday 31st January? I know it’s only yesterday but I heard a couple of children were told as they left the audition that they had been given places, with MDS funding - with no need to do the call back audition.
Wow, I’m surprised they told them on the day. I thought they all had to go back for mds audition. We’re up hall there when they got told?
Hope you hear soon. -

Did you get this resolved @Ballet Power?
I’ve just got to the end of the form and I can’t submit it either?
No, I emailed them but haven’t heard back. I might call them this week or maybe if you email them too.

We noticed that the photo requirements for the more difficult poses (that's as technical as i get 🤣) seem to be for younger than I remember, unless I am wromg, which I easily could be lol, worth checking the age on the requirements for each set before re-taking, or taking x
I think you are right. We’ve had to take new photos as they are different from the spring intensive requirements x

Has anyone successfully sent in The Hammond registration form? After filling it all in (it’s quite long) it won’t let me submit. 😭

Can I ask parents of students going to Hammond MDS auditions about the enrolment forms. Do you have to pay £160 to even attend the MDS audition??? I emailed the school asking if the forms need to be completed , even if you needed MDS funded to attend, to which they replied yes but they didn’t mention the fee which says you must tick to say you’ve paid!!
I wondered the same.

So are the 10 MDS places across the whole school - not per year??
I think they said they have 10 in the current year 7 who have an mds. I don’t think they said how many they have to offer this year.

Does anyone know what they have to do at the funding audition for Hammond?

Moore and Moore photographer are very good I think they are down south. We used kate frost in Birmingham.
I totally think it’s up to you if you go to a photographer or do them yourselves. This year we went for a photo shoot and my daughter has done better in applications for Royal spring intensive. It made it easier for us as I am my dd teacher so being the photographer as well was just too much. The shoot was a lovely experience.
Do what’s best for you! -

Yes my son was there. He had a good day I think. Any idea how many auditions days there might be there?
Think they said 3 days for years 7-8 and 1 day for years 9 & over

Hi i’m auditioning for upper schools and I was just wondering what happens in physio examinations? I’ve never had one at an audition before and I’m a little nervous
They ask you to show certain positions to see your natural facility. They move your joints to see the range of movement- spine, hips, shoulders.
not sure if they are doing hands on at the moment due to covid, someone else might be able to help with that.

Just wondering if anyone had tried to apply for the summer intensive who had also applied for spring?
when I apply for summer it keeps returning to the spring page and telling me I’ve successfully applied. -
I think it is, looking at the cover.
I’d take a look on you tube and see if you can get a good clip.

There is only a very old dvd. Using the original music. Not sure if it’s that useful.

Thanks for your reply - so, in your view, we should prioritise the Associate programme over EYB? First-timers on both fronts!
I guess it’s up to you, but I’d try to go to Tring as much as possible. I would prioritise EYB show and rehearsals nearest the show week. If that helps?

Thank you - anyone else going to struggle with clashing dates with the English Youth Ballet @ Aylesbury?
I’m sure EYB will let you go to Tring, they are very good at accommodating associate schemes .
So many leotards !!
