I would have thought they would have selected students already to be honest from the photos.
Good luck to those that have finals this weekend!

Interview was pretty simple they don’t delve too much into why you want to dance and why rcs is the place for you too much! They just sort of asked about academic qualifications and if you knew anyone at RCS and a couple of basic questions but nothing too thought-provoking. The interview really isn’t make or break, they just want to make sure you’re a decent person!!
This school is one of the options we are considering, I’d love to know a bit more about the school and if everyone here is really serious about classical ballet?
Thanks

They like to make us wait, lol!

Are upper school results out for Royal ?

Is there any news on upper results yet?

Interesting it costs no extra to audition for wl so I’m sure most probably put a tick in that box anyway!
Well done to you all!

Well there you go, she didn't get into the school and her turnout wasn't sufficient for a career.
19 hours ago, proballetdancer said:Yes, flat turnout is mandatory for entrance into the top ballet schools and companies. It's the first thing looked for in potential students.
It's not a question of whether or not you start late, turn out capacity is something you're born with, a late starter can have a career is they have the physique, Michael Nunn started at 17. But the mandatory requirement is turnout.
It's not an aesthetic, it's the position from which all ballet movement starts from. The aesthetic comes from the technique.
I cannot say this enough, full turnout capacity is mandatory for entrance into the top vocational ballet schools and companies.
My dd doesn’t have flat turnout and has been at a top vocational school and an associate with rbs so may not always be essential!

DD is an SA in Birmingham and was never asked to do this although she could but too much hyper mobility has caused its own issues unfortunately!
Can anyone tell me class times for Birmingham please? Thanks

My dd delighted to have a place but no scholarship. Anyone on here get one from York? Congrats to everyone else too!

Has anyone heard anything today from ybss?

I don't understand why they have given places and scholarships out before seeing everybody and to those even before the audition. Why not just wait and make the process at least seem fair.

Questions about Lower School auditions
in Doing Dance

Hi, I might be wrong but is it not just from wl finals you can get feedback rather than the first audition?
