I feel quite sad I told my DD we would hear today, everyone else at her school seems to know.I said it must be a NO but to have to go through another weekend of waiting feels awful. Not sure why they said it would be today if that was not the case

Seems to be true!!! I have a rubbish phone that can't even access messages so have to do the ballet run & football drop off!!!!!!!!please can it come before 3.15pm!!!!

I am sure no one has said anything they successful applicants have not thought about themselves & I am sure they can take it with a pinch of salt. Everybody is very positive & over the moon for the children that got a YES & likewise we are aware & respectful of the feelings for the children whose parents have had the hard task to tell their DC it was a NO. I think its great to be able to hear both the positives & negatives of experiences others have had so people can start their journey with excitement & eyes wide open

I guess the realistic stories prove some comfort to those that got a NO. But I am sure everyone given the opportunity would have to go for it. Its incredibly exciting you only get one life & best to try & enjoy each day that you there. But keeping your feet on the ground, being realistic & not seeing it as the only path to be successful in life & dance & remembering that is the main thing.

WOW!!!!!!!! southerndancemum that's amazing!!! I do not know all your story but very inspirational that a NO can transform into WL!!!!!! you must have a very happy DD! enjoy every minute

So sorry to hear of the 'No's' it must be sooooo hard.Hope your DD's are OK.They really must remember how amazing they are!

My DD friend from ballet has got a place, so pleased for him he is a lovely lad with AMAZING legs!

My DD will be 10 & we applied for Week 3 so if they are offering 600 places how many would be for this week??

Can anyone audition for the Year 8 & Year 9 places? Does that happen at the same time as applying for MA's?

how do you actually send an email to 3000 people!! do you have to type it one at a time & cut & paste content!! how awful?? Can't imagine the anguish waiting for WL results this is bad enough!!!

Ahhh bless her...............hopefully they will put you out of your misery soon & remind her Darcey Bussell did not get in Year 7.& upside at least she can still live with you if not!! Fingers crossed xx

Thanks for your reply. Wow it really does sound so hard! Must be so intimidating to be in an audition like that where everyone wants it so much. Huge fingers crossed for your DD. She has done amazingly well to be a JA & get a final. Something we could only ever dream of!! If she does not get it this time who knows what is around the corner (good news you get to keep her at home!!)

Balletmummy55 she might still get in!! who gets called back?? people they are not sure about? Good luck. must be so hard to get to finals & see it all. Must make you want it even more.Your DD must be incredible to have got finals. Out of interest how much ballet is everyone doing if they reach finals. When you say standard is incredibly high is that down to technique & that some people are very advanced. Is everyone doing lots of private lessons?

how old do you have to be for Elmhurst SS is it 11??
