  1. Hi. My dd did EYB for the first time lst year. As she was 15 she was put into the older group but on the casting day they were put into a line and arranged in height order. As my daughter was one of the smallest she hardly had any parts even though she was one of the most advanced on pointe. I did query this but was told by Miss L that they have to look uniform on stage. One parent did tell me that its mainly down to costume sizes . Dd did enjoy her time but for us it was not worth the money. I know you can not always have the limelight but it should go on ability and not your height. I hope your dd enjoys it.
  2. Thank you all for the help, it has now given us plenty to look and think about for DD future.
  3. Hi, I am very new to this but would love some help for my DD who is 15 and would like to go to a conservatoire at 16 for sixth form to study dance and dance only. My DD does mainly ballet and contemporary but is an all rounder really. Last year she attended a Musical Theatre course in the summer but hated the singing and drama so it has put her mind into just doing dance but a lot of audtions seem to include a singing piece which DD will not do for anything. So my question is does anyone know of a dance course that does not do the singing as part of the audition . I know for ballet you dont which is what she wants but the comepetition is so strong she is worried she will not get in anywhere so we need to look at everything possible. Thanks
