My dd is at Elmhurst doing GCSE's. Very small groups for academics and sets for ability in maths and english. Very pleased with how she is doing.

My year 10 vocational DD is going to the BIBS (Brussels) Summer intensive this year! She is non boarding as I would like to go and spend the evenings with her. Anyone else going or has done this intensive?

Think 2 girls added each year to Elmhurst for my daughters year. Although some have left along the way. Not sure about boys.

Tring CBA is a wonderful course my dd did year 5 and 6. My dd is year 9 now at a vocational school. Quite a few year 6 kids got a year 7 vocational course place.

Good news here as well!

Do you not have to submit an application anyway even if you attend the audition? How do they know their ages at the auction if you haven’t submitted applications.
I ask because I spoke to YBSS and DD is auditioning for the scholarship just to have a go. She’s only year 6 so is joining the year 7-8 audition and they said don’t worry because they will know her age. But I haven’t submitted an application yet?
I do intend to but your post @Ms Sunshinehas confused me 😁
Sorry yes reading it back it is very confusing! You do need to apply separate as others have said.

My dd auditioned for a scholarship and did not get it but did get a place last summer. She loved it! She is going to Easter and waiting on Birmingham scholarship auditions but not expecting anything. We have not applied for this summer yet. Hope they let us know soon x

I know the school can take more pupils on if they really like someone but I'm dreading the emails coming through if there is no chance of even getting a call back for y9 intake.😔 I'm hoping still 🙏 you just never know.x
Best of luck!!!!

My dd year 8 at Elmhurst has had no girls leave in her group since starting year 7. Only one girl and one boy added at the start of year 8.

No for Tring CBA then a yes the next year. Then finals for Tring and a mds offer. Hammond mds offer. Royal ja no for year 4,5 and 6. No for all intensives. Yes for royal finals and call back. Yes for BRB Nutcracker child. Yes for Elmhurst Young dancers and Elmhurst mds offer. Lots and lots of other yes and no along the way.

My daughter was offered a mds. I just asked her and she said performance and love of dance and that you really wanted to be there. Best of luck x

For Hammond you pay the fee for joining and funding final. We did this and then got mds but decided on Elmhurst so turned down Hammond mds at a later point. Hope this helps

My dd was at royal finals and recall a few years ago and never gained a ja place. She was a Elmhurst YD and Tring CBA associate. Had privates every 2 weeks on the run up to auditions. It is possible. She is now auditioning for upper schools but hoping to stay at Elmhurst.
