Oh that's also a great idea!! I was going to get a box of cupcakes made with a Christmas/dance theme as there are a couple of teachers so thought a box could be shared. I'm loving the ideas your all giving me though, very different!! Thanks!!

Hi just wondering if 1) anyone else buys their dance teacher a gift for Christmas and 2) does anyone have any good ideas on what to get? Just though would be nice to swap ideas, this also goes for school teachers too ???????????????? got my Christmas head on today!!

Thank you zoozoo, I am very lucky to have an extremely level headed dd, Infact when she received the good news yesterday she was very calm and just said "that's great mom but I'm not going to get too excited as it could all still end in a no, I am proud of myself for getting this far though" and to be honest we have always took the approach of an audition is just an opportunity to have a class in a top class school with the expectation of nothing more coming of it and I have found that way of thinking, although some call it negative, works really well for us as a family, as if dd doesn't achieve a yes from an audition she's still just chuffed to have got to do a dance class at "Elmhurst" or "The Royal" etc ????

Oh great advice thanks cotes du rhone might look for some too to give her an idea of what to expect, don't know if she's ever done any before!

Hi I've been trawling through old topics and posts much of the afternoon looking for hints, tips and advice on what to expect from final auditions and thought it would be easier to just start a new thread asking!! My daughter has got through to Elmhurst finals and we have no idea what to expect so would be really interested to hear from people who have been through it all at Elnhurst but also any of the other big schools as I'm sure others auditioning this year would love to hear and learn from your insight, thank you so much in advance ????

Hi and thank you all it came as a big shock, especially with how quick the letter came, auditioned last Tuesday and letter arrived today!! Finals are in March, best of luck to everyone with auditions still to come!! X

Is that for older girls maybe? Dd is only going for a year 7 place and has never done pointe!!

Thank you everyone I am very proud, also very proud of how dd has took the news, she has remained calm and said she won't get too excited as it could still en in a no but she is proud of herself for getting this far!! Such a mature approach whereas I am already an emotional wreck lol ????

Omg!!! Super excited and proud mommy today after receiving a letter from Elmhurst inviting my dd to a final audition!!!! If anyone has children that have been to final auditions I would be really grateful of any info on what to expect please, and for those still to audition I wish you the best of luck!!!

Thank you everyone, she is a size 13 to a 1 depending on where the shoes are from so may need the childrens sizes, may get away with the adults petit if she's wearing over shoes though I guess. And can anyone tell me exactly why they wear these boots?? As you all know by now I'm a total novice so don't really understand the why behind these things lol thanks everyone for your help xx

Hi not sure if this is in the right place but can anyone advise me on Bloch bootie sizes as I want to get my daughter some for Christmas so can't try them on her, basically I want to know whether to order her actual size or the next size up?
