Schools...don't you just love em... My DSs last report said that his ability to follow simple dance steps was improving...he starts as an NBT associate in September!????

d's friend had a comment on her (state school) report that her dancing had 'greatly improved over the year'. no mention that she was an RB associate.

I really wish I'd known about this forum last year. Ds auditioned for year 6, unsuccessfully, and didn't audition for the mids,this year as London is a 3 three hour journey each way (and rather expensive!).Applied and got into NBT in Leeds and this forum has been a godsend to this non dancing mum who didn't have a clue! Very well done to all those who got in and to the no's to even audtion is an achievement in itself.And to the parents you all so deserve a drink!????????

Leeds JA's results was the 5th June last year. Came up on my Timehop on Facebook when Ds got a no...thanks Facebook I don't think we needed reminding! Good luck to all the DC's and nervous parents. A no just means not for them or not yet! ????

Ds and I are going in September, usually try and see Northern and Ds loves going as well, even more now he's starting in their JA's in September as well.

Sorry if I sound a bit dim but if you order online do they do returns for dance belts? 10 year old Ds needs one for his upcoming show, especially after wearing white as the Nutcracker and his dance teachers "quiet word"!???? Local dance shop is pretty usless tbh so it's either a trip to buy one or online!

Oh thank goodness it's not just my Ds! He cut open his shin before one audition, had a chair pulled from under him at school and cracked his head before another auditon. Did a leap when practicing for his dance schools christmas show went over on his ankle and did another auditon with a totally black foot...luckily it didn't hurt!!

Hello hans11 we had until the 15th May to decline or accept our Ds's place for the ja's. I wonder if there are schemes auditioning later? Fingers crossed for her.

Great minds think alike cotes du rhone! My DS (who's 10) auditioned for New Adventures Lord of the Flies last year, got down to the final 40, the encouragement and talent of the people involved with this was amazing. Mr Bourne seems to be putting his money where his mouth is!

Well done to your dd shygirlsmum, my ds has been offered a place on the ja, found out on Monday, which was really quick! Wasn't expecting them until the 10th. He's a bit pleased!
