Please pm me if you like . My DS is Tring 6 . 1 . Everything there is wonderful. Another student started last week , for drama course - so she won't be the only Newbie ! Don't panic ! She just needs to go ! Everything else will fall into place and she will love it . Fabulous A level choices too x

I can only say that my DS is doing 3 - and his friend 4 . On top of this they do IPS which is compulsory , I believe . Some people are only doing 1 or 2 A levels . Your DD could start with. 3 and drop one at As level perhaps ? Maybe worth calling the school . DS is absolutely loving 6 . 1 at Tring - it's really hard work but a great place to do it . Pm me if you need any info x

That's great Amethyst . Is she in 6 .1 ? If so with my DS

On our way to Tring now . DS moving up to 6 .1 and living off site ! Just briefing him about white garments and coloured garments re washing machine lol !!! Another chapter begins . How quickly time goes . Each time he comes home I measure him !! The years at Tring have served him well , he has grown in confidence as well as stature , and the dance training is amazing . To those beginning the Tring a ling journey today - I have a small lump in my throat for all of you - but I'm sure you will be happy and fulfilled , the magic of Tring is very real . I wish you every success and happiness . Xx please pm me if you need any help or advice xx

See you later ! Just arriving B New Street . Coffee time and an hour in the bull ring !
-
No phone call last night - so I've no idea about yesterday - but obviously having such a good time !
-
I don't think they go out anywhere , but you can check that on arrival . There will be a small. ' sharing ' of work on the Saturday afternoon , but I'm not sure what time . If you e mail them , they will reply - but they have only just returned from holiday . It will be a fabulous week - the teaching is excellent . My DS did the Easter course and is doing next week .

Another great day at the summer school . DS really enjoying it all . Had pas de deux with group D today , and BRB seem to be heavily involved . Thankfully ' ballroom ' was ball from Romeo and Juliet as opposed to Strictly ! Phew ! How is everyone else enjoying it ?

DS settled in and obviously having a good time - only 9 in his group . He says he has ' ballroom ' tomorrow - but that may turn out to be the ball scene from R and J - I suspect . Hope so , as DS is not a fan of Strictly !!! Still , one needs to be versatile !!!

Hi there . I'm trying to pm you , but it says my quota is full , and I don't know how to delete !!! Perhaps a forum member can help me !! If you pm me with your e mail address ( if this is ok ? ) I will contact you that way . My DS started as a JA in Leeds - I might be able to offer some local knowledge and a bit of advice - as I have a dance school too .

Not sure where you live stillatit , but my summer school is mainly classical , accepts 7 - 18 yr olds and is residential if you wish . Based in keighley , West Yorkshire. The faculty are from Hammond , NBT , Northern ballet Manchester and others . 18 th Aug for a week , with a performance in the theatre on the Friday night x
-
We offer residential with host families if that helps

That seems a little odd - were parents notified on which day their child was cast ? Just been to see DS in his show. - really enjoyed it and thought it played to the strength of each child .

Kiwimum - your DS did brilliantly to recover - and it happens to the best of dancers !!
Out of interest - of the 11 finalists :
5 Tring
2 ENB
2 Elmhurst
1 non vocational
1 - I'm not sure. - maybe also non voc .
I thought the adjudicators were spot on , and it was indeed a lovely day - my only negative comment would be that people wandered in and out of the auditorium , with little regard for people dancing - whilst the music was still playing .
