Well done if you have a yes for Elmhurst huge achievement for your dc
I really feel for the DC with the no's it's so hard on everyone involved it's like an emotional roller coaster which I imagine you are ready to get off?!?! But It does make our children stronger ready for the next experience... Remember there are different paths to follow but they will all lead to a similar place in the end. Well done and be proud of your wonderful talented children

Lildancer96 sorry to hear your news and I know how you are feeling as my daughter will also not be dancing due to an injury. Very upsetting for our daughters but hopefully they will have other opportunities in the future. Wishing all who are dancing lots of luck and enjoyment xxx

Well emotional/exciting/proud day dd is taking her intermediate exam exactly 2 years to the day she took her intermediate foundation exam it's been a long 2 years but she's loving every minute of her dancing... It nearly broke her but it's certainly made her stronger!!! :)

Hi stardancer sorry your dd got a no for a contemporary dance programme... But I'm surprised that this was their response as my my dd has just been offered CAT contemporary and during conversations/interview they mentioned that she was a strong classical dancer, if they were to offer her a place it would only be if they had space in a higher level ballet class within their programme and that would be the only way to make progress!!! They went on to say a strong solid ballet technique would indeed support the contemporary dance training and they totally support students keeping up their vocational training with their local dance teachers as long as days/times don't clash... Good luck finding something that suits your dd

Well we didn't see that one coming... Dd was given a "spotting card" through a dance workshop and has been offered CAT ATP @ Dance City!!! Very proud of her determination to keep dancing not sure what's going to happen but she seems to really enjoy the contemporary/creative side of dancing... Just goes to show you never know what's round the corner!!!! ;)
