  1. I write at night, as I work during the day.
  2. Here it is a translation of Sergei Filin words : " When I learned that my children, Sasha and Sergei, should come here, I begged the doctors to delay the next operation . I had to see them just a little bit, at least with one eye. I met my children, and on the next day I had the surgery and both eyes were sewn up and covered with the membranes."
  3. Here are the scanned copies of the article published in the "Караван Историй" magazine, which is not available on the internet. The most important information here , I think, is what they say about Sergei Filin's health condition. We learn from Sergei that his sons, Sasha and Sergei, visited him recently. They arrived in Aachen for the short school holidays, at the end of March. Sergei asked doctors to delay one operation to make it possible to see his sons with one eye. And next day he had undergone one more surgery and doctors put the membranes in both his eyes. So, literally, Sergei can't see with neither eye, because doctors put the membranes in them. But, thanks God, this is a temporary blindness. There are some other interesting details in this story. Later I will write something else about it. http://theor.jinr.ru/~smond/forum/Caravan/Prorvich.pdf http://theor.jinr.ru/~smond/forum/Caravan/Filin.pdf
  4. Yes, I think, this was one more desperate attempt to explain to the simple Russian people, those ordinary TV viewers, that Sergei Filin was really seriously injured. Because since some popular figures, including some fading ballet stars, declared to the world there was not an acid attack on Filin and it was something not very serious, people were confused. Many are saying now, they don't believe that Filin suffered a sulfuric acid attack and that he is just pretending. Besides, this article is a response to the lawyers of Dmitrichenko, Zarutsky and Lipatov, who insist that the injuries were not life threatening and even not serious.
  5. They stitched up eyelids in order to repair the damaged corneas.
  6. If it were not for the deterioration of the eyes, Sergei would not go to Germany. Chemical burn gradually destroys the eye ...So the implant is a good solution. I hope that all will be well.
  7. Izvestia quoted Tatiana Stukalova, Filin's lawyer. She, probably, was meaning that both of his eyes can't see properly (not completely). Izvestia could cut some of her words. P.S.In Moscow the eyes condition was better, because it was just a beginning of the process of the progressive blindness. The eyes don't lose sight immediately in the most of the cases. So, in Germany doctors should restore his eyes.
  8. German doctors who observe Filin do not make assumptions in regards when the artistic director will be able to return to Russia. "There are no predictions on this occasion" - his lawyer Tatiana Stukalova told "Interfax". She said that doctors are waitings for Filin's eye tissue transplants. "This operation was not yet done, doctors are waiting for the material to be laid in the eye," - said Stukalova. http://www.interfax.ru/russia/txt.asp?id=301774
  9. Hi, ladies:) It seems to me that they stopped providing an information about Sergei Filin, Maybe it is because of the information war that was going on in the Russian media for a few months. I also strongly hope doctors will restore his right eye vision....
  10. This is an article in English about Sergei Filin's eye tissue transplantation http://rbth.ru/news/2013/03/30/bolshoi_ballet_chief_to_undergo_complicated_eye_tissue_transplantation_i_24475.html
  11. Yes, this information first appeared in "Izvestia" without any clear reference in regards of the primary source, after that all the websites simply "copy-pasted" it.
  12. Here it is the latest article to confirm my previous answer to Farfallina : http://miamusic.ru/index.php/news-music/2302-nikolaya-tsiskaridze-ne-budut-uvolnyat-iz-bolshogo-teatra.html I would translate this article the following way: By noon on March 29, the Bolshoi administration said they would not dismiss Tsiskaridze, the premier of the ballet company, because of his contacts with the press. "The theater will not apply any sanctions to Tsiskaridze. He has the right to communicate with the media and to express his opinion, but we do not approve his harsh and unwarranted criticism of the management of the Bolshoi Theatre," - commented to MIA " Music " Katerina Novikova, the spokesperson of the Bolshoi. Earlier Tsiskaridze spoke harshly criticizing the Bolshoi administration on the NTV channel , doubted that the burns received by Sergei Filin in the attack were really hard, and expressed full readiness to lead the Bolshoi Theatre. . Tsiskaridze said that if his rights are violated, he will go to court. "The relationship in the" Bolshoi " are very tense, there is informational struggle there, where the grand prize is the position of the director of the theatre . All the latest events around the theater are associated only with this," - Tsiskaridze said to MIA "Music" "
  13. Sergei Filin is going to have a transplant surgery of the eye tissue. (There are no links in English just yet) It should be a complex operation, the first part of it has to be on Monday, and if it goes well, the next operation is planned close to the end of the week. http://www.vesti.ru/doc.html?id=1068134
  14. Thank you for the link, Marissa, it is not bad article. At the same time the words "Filin claimed after the attack that Tsiskaridze had threatened him with a compromising audio tape" are coming from unknown sources. Officially Filin did not do any declarations about Tsiskaridze threatening him. (Describing Filin as an artist I would add, Sergei Filin also has got a title of the People's artist of Russian Federation and a many various ballet awards.)
  15. Hi, Amelia! I was answering Farfallina question, and it was :"here are articlES in Russian newspapeRS talking about Tsiskaridze fearing to receive a third warning from the BT which could lead to his dismissal. As my Russian is very limited maybe a member with better language skills could verify."So, I was giving a summary of what was written regarding this case in a few articles, not in one. I will provide you with all those articles later, with my apologies that they are in Russian. I did not see a request from Farfallina to translate just this small article, which is not even an article , but a couple of quotations from what Mr.Tsiskaridze said on TV. And I would appreciate you to use better words than characterizing my short answer as speculations, it is quite a strong expression. I am not used to such a level of communication.
  16. Mr. Tsiskaridze had a warning from the director and he was asked to write an explanation note about his last appearance on the NTV channell, where he was showing his doubts in regards of Mr. Filin having the serious acid burns. At the same time he was saying that it is him, who should be the Bolshoi Theatre director. Mr. Iksanov mainly was not happy with his words about Filin's burns. There is a risk of being dismissed after three warnings (reprimands), but hardly this is the case. Mr.Tsiskaridze is a very famous artist and nobody would dismiss him even after three administrative reprimands. Mr. Tsiskaridze appeals to the court against Bolshoi administration . He claims them for not giving him a freedom of speech.
  17. Thank you, now I see, the article was badly written. I hope Grigorovich some day will refute this scribbling.
  18. Now you are characterising me...Well, I apologize, if N.Tsiskaridze had never said those words about acid neither on NTV, no to BBC, and all these his statements were just fruits of my imagination.
  19. I write not to humiliate Mr.Tsiskaridze, but in order to express my sympathy and support то Mr. Filin. I mean, I did not expect to see negative comments about him in this topic. BTW, he passed through his 13th operation yesterday, the doctors try to save his right eye. That's what I am here for...
  20. I had a warm feeling about Tsiskaridze before he spoke to BBC, even though I was not his biggest admirer as a dancer. Surely, he is an interesting and competent speaker. His words he doesn't believe it was an acid attack changed my opinion. But still I hoped then : he said it without much thinking. But, allas, he repeaed the same words, this time he did it on TV (NTV), a couple days after Filin's press conference. I must say - I am from the doctor's' family. Two of our family memebers are ophthalmologists, one of them lives in Aachen... We all were shocked. I can't write you more now. Later I will say some words about your next question (or topic)
  21. Tsiskaridze has got only two students and one of them is Anzhelina Vorontsova. recently Tsiskaridze was dismissed from the teaching position, the idea to close his position belongs to Yuri Grigorovich. Here it is the link: http://www.mk.ru/culture/article/2012/01/11/659278-bolshoy-teatr-uvolnyaet-nikolaya-tsiskaridze.html ; And here it is another link to prove that Anzhelina (Dmitrichenko's girlfirend) is Tsiskaridze's student : http://www.bbc.co.uk/russian/russia/2013/02/130208_tsiskaridze_filin_bolshoi.shtml, - Tsiskaridze speaks about her to BBC.
  22. On my humble opinion, Marissa, Mr. Filin will return only if Mr.Tsiskaridze leaves the theatre. Anyway, I don't like any predictions, I simply wish Mr. Filin a speedy recovery. Now to "MAB" - I live not in Moscow, neither in Russia. (Here in Auckland the weather is not bad, it was rain last night , though, but the day was brilliant.) So, I learn about all the news from the internet. You say, this is a gossips in regards of which link? I would not be that fast with my opinions without reading the articles. Pity you can't open the links (both or one of them?) If you want, I can try to find something equal.
  23. I am agree with you on this matter. As David Remnick says in his article "Danse Macabre. A Scandal at The Bolshoi Ballet" - "We have to understand that Tsiskaridze has powerful friends who can make life worse for the theatre and the director.” Read more: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2013/03/18/130318fa_fact_remnick#ixzz2O3XweT9i
  24. Answering to Marissa: In this article http://www.aif.ru/culture/article/61023, below the photo of Tsiskaridze you can read just one short story out of many from the past, when Filin and T. were rivals on stage. Nina Ananiashvili chose Filin to dance with her the premiere of " Jiselle". (Nina A. is Georgian, same as T. )Tsiskaridze never forgot about it. In one of his countless TV interviews he said he never talks to Nina Ananiashvili , in contrary to Filin, who is saying Nina is his only friend. (About it you can read hear: http://yarcenter.ru/content/view/63425/161/ )
