Aruna S
The Teatro dell’Opera of Rome has just announced its new season, in which the ballets have been further reduced from last season. There will be just four : Nutcracker, a mixed bill ( Balanchine, Millepied, Forsythe, Nureyev), Le Parc, and Wheeldon’s Swan Lake. The new director of the corps de ballet, Eleonora Abbagnato, will perform in Le Parc and the mixed bill. It’s a fairly desolate landscape, but one which ballet fans in Italy have come to expect.
