TheMightyTwiglet
Hi All, I've recently got a Pilates ring for Christmas and was wondering if anyone could give me some exercises. I know a few already and I've seen some on Youtube but I'm worried that I might end up strengthening the wrong muscles (ie: "non-ballet muscles"). Anyone know any? Harwel
Don't know what you've seen but it's great for adding another dimension to ab work. Here are a few of my favourites: Classic Pilates hundred with ring between feet, got to really maintain inprint and work inner thighs. Single leg stretch with ring between hands, elbows close to body but just off the floor, with little pressure into ring as legs change position. Shoulder bridge with ring between knees. Lift hips off floor, keep abs switched on and lengthen through front of thighs into hips. From here squeeze circle but keep hips high the whole time. Combination of slow and quick focus on glutes. Hope they make sense!
