Temps de cuise question

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about temps de cuise en avant & en arriere.

I know that for the an avant version the sissone part travels forwards & for the en arriere version the sissone travels backwards, but what I'm not sure of is whether the foot passes devant or derriere in the petit retire passe before the sissone.

My teacher thinks (but is not certain) that when the sissone goes en avant, then you pass the front leg petit retire passes derrier before doing the sissone en avant & the opposite for when the sissone goes en arriere.

Is this correct or does the foot pass devant when traveling an avant with the sissone?

I hope this makes sense!

Thanks

Is there a difference between a temps de cuisse and a temps de puisse?! Are they different steps or was I just mishearing the teacher? ;)

There is a temps de poisson - movement/step of the fish.

I've never heard of "puisse" as a step.
