Guest
Does anyone have any advice on the value of sports massage as part of an injury prevention program? My dd has a recurrent hamstring problem and we are looking at ways to avoid flare ups. Also does anyone have any tips on what to look for in a qualified practitioner? Thanks
drdance
Sports massage is good but if there's a recurring injury there's more likely to be an underlying problem which needs full assessment and dealing with.
Guest
I should have added that she has had physiotherapy and has exercises to do. The original hamstring injury was caused by asymmetric growth that self-corrected. The physio said that she was just incredibly unlucky. I am just keen to pursue all possible options to keep her well (she also does limbering and pilates). Edited February 9, 2016 by Guest
