ILLUSTRATED LECTURE: "My way to Russian ballet - from Pavlova until now"

/in English/. By GEOFF WHITLOCK.  http://www.suttonrussiancircle.org.uk/

The event starts at 7 pm sharp and ends at 9.30 pm.

It will take place at Sutton Russian Circle (all events there are conducted in English).

Geoff Whitlock’s topic is about how a young English man fell some years ago in love with Russian ballet, which drove him to learn Russian at SEESS, to travel for his research and to form long-standing friendship with many dancers. He wrote: “I will talk about my journey into the Russian Ballet from my earliest experience at Ivy House through many Russian experiences, both personal and professional, from that time until the present day. Illustrated with archive film and DVD material including the very greatest ballerinas from Moscow and St Petersburg including Galina Ulanova, Alla Shelest, Alla Sizova, Natalia Bessmertnova and Natalia Osipova.”

Address: 10 Cedar Rd, Sutton, SM2 5DA.

Travel: 30 min. by train from Victoria and 3 min. walk from Sutton Stn.

Members of the Circle don’t pay for events (just their membership fee). Guests - £8.

It includes tea and all-you-can-eat buffet with traditional Russian and English snacks.

Thanks for the advertising. I will be talking about my life and the Russian Ballet and be using some rare film material some of which has not been shown publicly before.
