  1. Well done, jazzpaws, how brave of you!! We're you sure that they meant ALL results would go out by letter and that none had been sent yet?

She did say it would be by letter, BUT don't quite believe the no idea when results will be sent - it must be common knowledge, she was probably being discreet lol x

  2. Really don't see how people do it, apart from using a host family. If income is under £21,000, to pay £6,000 per year for in not possible. If income is higher, there is much more to pay - not sure how all these boarding places are funded. I'd be interested to know how many use host families ?

  3. Had a look and maximum DADA maintenance  element is £4550 per year, so if a host family is charging around £500 per months over 10 months, that would cover it, or nearly there if you had to rent for the 12 months, which is the way forward I think for those qualifying for the DADA.

I certainly couldn't find another near £6,000 per year - horrors !! (I take it  you mean the shortfall takes into account the £4550) - I know it's nice to be in the boarding house, but this way makes it affordable for those on low income - how many go with host families Its her Life ?

  4. It all gets so complicated. DD is on the reserve list, but I understood this would be open for quite some time. i have also been told by another mum who phoned Tring that there are groups on the reserve list according to how much funding you need - the more you need the lower on the list you are ????? As DD would need maximum funding, I have decided not to enquire as to where she is on the list as it is probably bad news, sometimes ignorance is bliss (or I'm a coward).

From what I have gathered, a DADA (with maximum maintenance portion) would not cover the boarding fees, but would go a long way towards paying for staying with a host family - another mum I know is convinced that the DADA would pay for everything - just wondering as I'm not expecting to hear any more from Tring. And so the waiting goes on ...........

  5. Oh well - the postman has been and gone today - no letter and no email as yet !!!

They did say 10 days after the audition so perhaps it's best to just wait and stop speculating - can't help feeling very edgy  :o

  6. Hi friends. Did they definitely inform by email last year? I really hope it is soon either way. I have popped home from wotk for lunch today just in case postman had brought the letter, i dont want my dd coming in from school to the letter, if its bad news i want to be here to comfort her and if its good news i want to share her joy. She is not expecting to get it, she said that everyone was so good. Good luck to your dd jazzpaws, you said your daughter is really tall, was she wearing a dark green leotard?

Thanks stressedmum - yes she was wearing a dark green leotard - no email or letter for us either, this waiting is dreadful xxxx

  7. Well, I'm not really the expert, but I think she's OK with turnout, told to hold it from time to time, but I'm sure she's not alone, her legs go high and she seems flexible to me. perhaps the callbacks were the ones they were questioning after all and the rest were yes or no - no idea at all

  8. When DD went in for her physio, she was only in there a few minutes, so perhaps this was a kind of physio back up. Who knows, it's like a big guessing game, trouble is when you are waiting, you probably start reading into thing that aren't there - I need to chill
