Can anyone give me an idea how many girls they take to finals for year 7?
-
Kids bounce back so quickly...glad to hear your dd back to her happy self. I echo what you say about JAs and remembering the feelings of those who have disppointed this week.
I think we should also spare a thought ...those who are waiting to hear of post year 7 places...for where these places come from. These come at a cost to another little dancer who may have their dreams shattered. There could be some worried children and parents out there who find it hard to share in all the (natural) excitement.
Wishing all the ballet students facing important assessments over the next couple of weeks all the very best of luck!

I'm so proud of my little DD. After a very upset night she is singing and dancing just like she always does. Tomorrow at JA's will be tough so spare a thought in the middle of all the excitement

Thank you Belljul, we're both fine. I think in my heart I knew she wouldn't get through so had prepared her well for the possibility. She got through to finals at Elmhurst (she did the first audition) so we will see. I'm happy they won't be in the same place. Living in her sister's shadow would not have been fun and there is only so much Nutcracker a parent can watch!

I drove the 260 mile to Richmond and back on my DD's birthday just to give her a cake and a hug. I was allowed 5 minutes! Careful what you wish for is my motto nowadays. Hugs x

Yes I think the pressure of big sister being there was a big pull but she has actually recognised that shed be happier at elmhurst so really praying for a yes from them. I now have to work out the logistics of having five children in five counties!
edited to add my congratulations to those with a yes letter and hugs to those with no's

Thank you. She is very tall so I'd prepared her for this. I'm actually relieved! (Am I allowed to say that?)

I actually did ring when it was snowing to ask if I should go to the main post office. She laughed and told me to stay in the warm!

My DD's came after 10 days three years ago. At least I know I can relax a while

Thank you for the welcome. I have an older DD at WL so the pressure is on youngest DD

Beginning to feel the strain (and I thought I was so calm!). They said two weeks at Birmingham (first audition centre) but that came and went on Thursday. My post always comes in the afternoon so have been waiting to hear from someone on here before I start hunting my postman down!
