  1. Haven't managed to get info in one place when more than one thing on at same time in different parts of House, eg 19th June with Boheme on main stage and Ballet in Rehearsal in Linbury .Click on calender and it only gives main stage performance. I also wanted to check on the Falstaff Insight on 1st May (I still have a spare ticket for that), it didn't show up at all.

  2. My son took his daughter to her first grownup prom concert last year and they dined very well in one of the Albert Hall restaurants. She was equally impressed with the concert and the food. I know they prebooked a table, but don't know which of the restaurants.

  3. I've attended a number of science lectures where it has been discussed how the brain of someone who also habitually does the same activity as the one they are watching, even if not to the same proficiency, reacts differently to someone who who does not practise that activity. Examples given have included dancers of one kind or another, musicians, eg a violinist watching someone else play the violin, footballers, etc.

  4. . The role of Paris - dear oh dear oh dear. Stepanek was awful - charisma bypass and awkward lifting - bottom sticking out and totally plodding movement - almost laughable. I particularly liked the three harlots - from the distance of the balcony their steps were really well defined. Altogether a smashing performance with the emotional 'fix' I always wish for.

But then, I thought Stepanek was brilliant as Paris, really into the character. It takes all sorts.

I've actually got very tired of the MacMillan R&J, indeed I feel it would be nice if it could be rested from the RB rep for 10 or 15 years and a new R&J put in to bat. We would all come back to the MacMillan version far fresher, I'm sure.

A provocative comment rather than a serious one, I hope. Such a gap would mean that my granddaughters would have to wait until well in their 20's to see the Royal do it, and there'd be a generation of dancers who'd not have the chance to put their own stamp on it.
