  1. You can add Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake to that list at the end of this year too!
  2. I went over the weekend and the theatre was easy to get to. The gentleman who greeted us at the door was also the host for the evening. He was good fun. I really enjoyed the show and getting to chat to the dancers after. You feel very close to the dancing in their theatre. Geoff
  3. Hello all, I noticed the contemporary dance duo ‘Pett Clausen-Knight’ are showcasing a full length work (Imago) this weekend at Ballet Nights Spotlight in London. Has anyone seen any of their full length works before? I am going as i enjoyed their excerpt of the work which was performed at the Ballet Icons Gala. Geoff
  4. Hi @trog and @Sophoife, I was actually talking about a company closer to my new home away from home here in the U.K. My point was indeed Wikipedia tells a full and rich story, but the company themselves only celebrate the work of one era - and one artistic director.
  5. I was recently browsing the Wikipedia entry for a certain national company who will remain nameless, and could t believe all of the Ashtons, Balanchine, tetleys, macmillans and more in the rep. I also was astounded by some of the Ballet superstars to have passed through the doors - including Fonteyn and Rudolph Nureyev. However… when then looking at the website for this company, the repertoire listed is only from the past 11 years? How much of those hugely important historic works have been left to the wasteland, and will we ever see them again? Geoff
  6. I managed to see this performance at Ballet Nights as well. It was a real treat getting to see her interpretation of the work. I believe being in such an intimate theatre setting helped with this also.
