  1. Yet a couple of years ago my child was prodded in the stomach after eating Lunch by a ballet teacher and told ‘this is a problem’ she was 17 and 6 stone. This my dc had only just told me. She felt humiliated and caused much upset.
  2. Yes the school markets itself well, they make out they do such wonderful things but really what goes on behind the scenes? No checking up, no following through, no monitoring of teachers and senior vocational team. I worry younger children will accept what they see as the norm and acceptable.
  3. If my dd was given the opportunity again to attend one of these 2 upper schools named she would definitely not or embark on a ballet journey at all. The mental and physical scars she has been left with are still a big struggle a couple of years later. This is our opinion and experience, others may vary. I would just consider very carefully.
  4. One side of the story from only a few yes, but we can vouch for it and I’m sure many more will come forward with complaints now too.
  5. Maybe they need to face up to what actually goes on in their schools and stop hiding things. Things to this day remain outdated and unacceptable. Unfortunately we have first hand expert of this.
