  1. Hi. I am after some advice for my 9yo. She is currently doing ballet 3 times a week and just completed JA as well. She is naturally not very flexible and I am not sure how to help her. She gets upset that her friends are hypermobile and are selected for tricky parts that require flexibility. Hence trying to figure out what to do. She did gymnastics before and that was helpful but we stopped due to move. Are there any online exercises/teachers/apps that can help her? She is happy to work hard but needs structure she can regularly follow. No pressure from teachers or us parents, more of a competitive streak. Thank u.
  2. Hi. I was wondering if anyone else's ballet school bans their students from auditioning for Junior Associates programs. My daughter (10yo) has been told she can not audition as her current school training should be sufficient. I am a bit surprised to say the least as surely they would want to support their students' progress and the additional training would not encroach on her current dance commitments.
  3. Thank u. Was not sure where to post. 😃
  4. Hi. We are looking to do a summer intensive either with London Children Ballet or Royal Academy of Dance. This is a first for us as my daughter will just turn 10. We are on a waiting list for RSB but chances are small, I guess, so we might as well consider other options. Could anyone please provide any insight into these courses and whether your children enjoyed them. We don't live in London so a bit of a commitment travel wise. Thank u.
