Looking for something suitable for a Cupid variation for an 8/9 year old. Nothing flashy or too expensive as won’t be worn loads. Thank you

Sorry I read this wrong thinking it was the Royal thread! Sorry I’m not sure as we had to decline her place as it classed with the Royal JA programme so we couldn’t do both x

Has anyone auditioned for NYB this year?

My DD auditioned last week and really enjoyed it! She’s only 8 so not sure how the boarding would go if successful - although she is really keen to try it!

Does anyone have any insight into the London finals? How many usually audition and how many do they cut? Why does the audition entail etc?

we also have them and they’re nice, not as soft as silky though. 

Do they have to wear pants?? My daughter tends to go au natural under leotards 🙈

Hi everyone,

My 8 year old daughter has been complaining of slight hip pain the last few weeks. Her dance teacher said she took and look at her and discovered one leg was longer than the other (see pic) and that it’s the longer leg where the hip can hurt.

Should I be worried?

My daughters the same she's focused on her next exam and hasn't mentioned results. I hadn't thought about it as knew auditions didn't end till beginning of June but now I know they have finished and I keep getting emails from the RBS I must of ticked a box somewhere putting me on a mailing list when I see the emails pop up it's a short in take of breath. She had a wonderful experience those I saw coming out of the audition before her had big smiles. Whatever the outcome it's a great experience for them all and am insight into how things run.

Omg I am the same - keep getting Royal Ballet emails and my heart skips a beat!

Daughter not asked at all yet but I am sure I will be constantly checking my inbox for the next couple of weeks 🙈🤣

I think they always say beginning of July to cover themselves but from previous years threads it seems mid June seems to be the time results start filtering out 🤞
