  1. Argh what a pain! I wanted to book on another course if not accepted but the later it gets the less likely we will get a place on the other course 😢 never applied before so I just presumed it would be the 4 weeks wait lol

  2. Same here!! A happy yes for my DD 😃 she’s only 9 so I’m shocked - can’t wait to let her know! X

I'm waiting here as well. I read somewhere on the Forum that previous years it was 17h when they sent the results. So hopefully we can still expect them today.

    🤞🤞🤞

That brings back memories: would've been us eight years ago! Best of luck with it all, you never know where it might take you and your DC!

Thank you! She started their associates this year but we went to look at the CAT scheme. The students were fantastic! X

The time goes by very fast! We did this 2 years ago and in some ways it feels like yesterday…

My DC is only trying for WL but I can let you know what that audition is like in a few weeks’ time - I imagine it will be exactly the same as the last few years!

Thank you and best of luck to your DD! Xx

Realise this thread is a couple of years old but does anyone know if they are still inviting Y6 JAs to White Lodge? We’ve had no notifications but I have seen another Y6 student who has clearly gone in the last few days under the banner of ‘insight day’.

I saw this too and wondered the same!

I can’t speak for CAT scheme as we didn’t do it as not one close to us! but if we had our time again we wouldn’t go to vocational school!

Our happiest time was when we did RBS JA’s, we still look back fondly on those times! It was what came after that nearly broke our dd and it was only finding a college at 16+ (not even one of the so called top 4!) that put our dd back together again and gave her back her love of ballet that she had in JA’s.
So my advice would be find an amazing teacher, stick with JA’s, MA’s SA’s (if you can) and keep your daughter at home

    🥰🩰🥰

Thank you so much for your reply!  She does RBS JA and Northern Ballet JA currently and she does love both of these.
She’s done a few summer residentials this summer and fell in love with vocational school but I think she loves the idea of it more than the reality I’m not sure.
We live close to Northern Ballet so that’s why I though CAT would be a good option but I’ve not heard too many positives about it so was hoping there would be some who had experience of it xx

  9. Hi everyone!

DD is currently on the Junior Associates scheme at Northern Ballet and really enjoys it. She wants to go to vocational school but we aren’t quite sure if she’s ready. I really like the idea of the CAT scheme as a way of getting the vocational training whilst at home but I’ve been put off by quite a few individuals saying the JA scheme there is far better than the CAT and the teaching on the JA scheme is better and she’s be better off just staying as an associate.

Obviously that’s just a few people’s experience or opinions but at the minute it’s all we have to go off. Does anyone have any opinions on the CAT scheme and the quality of the teaching? Does it get the students to the standard they need to be? I can see they have lots of students go on to vocational schools but also quite a few who don’t.

Any opinions and advice is greatly appreciated ☺️
