  1. Hi, we decided in the process it wasn’t for us. DS more and more realised the impact it would have in everything else in his life, studying what he wanted, friendships, other activities such as scouts and he also realised his other dreams overtook ballet. He still lives ballet and does weekend classes, he just isn’t up for the sacrifice of a career. So I wouldn’t worry about changing minds, I think you can decide either way. It’ll make your mind up resolutely, but there’s certainly no harm in trying it.
  2. It was a London no for my son. Whilst obviously a yes would be flattering, a no was easier in our case. Our circumstances have changed so much since the audition he couldn’t have gone (due to the war in Ukraine and older siblings and grandparents moving in here from Ukraine the house is overcrowded and massively financially stretched as well as rather disorganised.)
  3. Has anyone heard? It seems such a long wait from New Year. Our circumstances have changed and my son can’t do it anymore, but we’re still wondering!
  4. Oh that’s very late isn’t it! To be honest my son was so keen at Christmas but has since moved on a little from the idea
  5. Sorry to hear. It feels late. Did you get offered a weekend mids place?
  6. Hi everyone, we’re new to the forum and new to world of auditions! Did anyone else have a boy going for a mids place, not year 7. My son is in year 7 now, loves ballet and we went to London to apply on the advice of his teacher having never heard of it all. I didn’t really understand it was also for White Lodge. It was more polished than we expected and he was rather under confident coming out, it’s now a long long wait as I understand we find out after white lodge (good luck for boys applying there! Was anyone older than year 7?). My son’s the youngest in year 7, summer born, and felt REALLY young in the mixed age auditions.
