It won’t matter that she hasn’t auditioned before, they’ll look at everyone fresh anyway x
That's reassuring thank you xx

Its my daughters first ever audition so not actually hopeful but you never know xx

Did the audition video include the stretches that they normally include in the live auditions? If these take place fairly early in the recording that might be a point where they decide whether to keep watching. I imagine that if a child doesn’t fit key criteria, they wouldn’t watch the full half hour of video...
Fingers crossed for everyone! Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.
Yes there were stretches and warm up exercises so you could be right. I really hope it's not too long 🤞 xx

Ooh ok let us know when it gets viewed! I might have a look to see if that is ok Dropbox too! XxWill do. I am a bit rubbish with the whole technical thing tbh but I'd seen on here someone had mentioned it so thought it would be handy xx

No I didn’t get any acknowledgement which scared me but I think if there’s a problem hopefully they’ll contact you. It took me hours to upload the video to Dropbox! Hopefully we will know before end of term but there’s going to be a lot of videos for them to get through so could be longer. X
I had exactly the same problem as my phone had recorded in some sort of super HD so the file was massive. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long. I used vimeo as somebody mentioned you can see when it's been viewed so I'll keep an eye on that too xx

Remember that they only want to see what your little dancer can do - they won't be judging your skills as a cinematographer.
We've just recorded so going to upload on a min. I know i was just a bit worried about her having enough room etc to perform the exercises but we did thankfully !! Good luck to everyone 👏 xx

Amazing thank you !! Yes think I'm just worried about messing it up ha xx

I'm recording my daughters today. Not clicked on the video link so no idea what to expect and it's her first ever audition. Can anyone tell me how long the video actually is ? I'm more nervous about messing up the filming of it if I'm honest. Good luck to all who've applied 🤞 xx

I can highly recommend Cecchetti Northern Associates which is held at KS Dance in Warrington. Classes are monthly on a Sunday and involve a ballet class and a class in another subject, such as Jazz or contemporary. Auditions are in June for Septembers intake (you audition for each yearly intake). The fees are really reasonable too. Yes a member of KS Dance Faculty runs the programme, and sometimes faculty do teach on it, but teaching staff for the Associates come from the Hammond and Tring amongst others. The session with Shannon and Peter Parker is always a highlight.
Thank you so much. They have entered me onto their mailing list in order to apply so just awaiting that coming through x

Thank you I've looked at the Warrington and requested some information. I am on a bit of a roll with it all today and managed to get a few emails sent off so fingers crossed.

Thank you both. She's had students in the past attend Elmhurst and really enjoyed their progress. Its just the associates programme in Manchester and it's mainly due to logistics.
I looked at the Hammond but i think we've missed the boat on auditions with that one unfortunately. I'll have a little look at Tring too. So far we've decided to apply for Royal Ballet and also Elmhurst, she's very excited but then what 10 year old wouldn't be.

Thank you Jan - very new so not entirely sure what I'm doing.
She is in school year 5 currently. I've just spotted the Royal School of Ballet one so definitely going to apply for that too - thank you.

Very new to this but my daughter's dance teacher has suggested she audition for the Elmhurst young dancer programme. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any other assosiate programmes that she could also audition for ? We are based in the Northwest so ideally something not a million miles away would be great. Thanks in advance 😁 xx

I had accidently recorded it in HD so the video ended up 3.75GB so we subscribed to vimeo plus in order to upload. We spent hours trying to reduce its size but that was the only option we were left with. A lesson learnt there - i just hadn't thought about checking the quality of video i was recording xx
