  1. Hi all - encouraged by the multiple-page review of Singapore Dance Theatre's (SDT) in October 2018's issue of Dance Europe, various folk and a current thread on Performances in the USA, I've finally decided to start a thread on layman audience reviews of SDT's performances. Brief history: SDT was started by the late Anthony Then, and Madam Goh Soo Khim (who was in the first cohort of students at the Australian Ballet School, and is the sister of the late choreographer Choo-San Goh); it has, in its repertoire, works by the likes of Balanchine, Choo-San Goh (of course), Edwaard Liang, Nils Christe, etc. I note with trepidation the Guidelines regarding making the forum a conduit for one's own blog, but it's not a good idea to paste my reviews here as they are rather detailed (read: wordy), being meant both as a record for myself and for people who missed out on the performances. Hence, I'll just leave the links to the performances reviewed by Dance Europe (October 2018). Hope they'll be of interest to someone here! https://balletbelatedetcetera.wordpress.com/2018/07/29/singapore-dance-theatres-30th-anniversary-gala-part-1-double-contrasts-and-the-configurations-pas-de-deux/ https://balletbelatedetcetera.wordpress.com/2018/07/29/singapore-dance-theatres-30th-anniversary-gala-part-2-linea-adora-and-sync/ https://balletbelatedetcetera.wordpress.com/2018/08/05/singapore-dance-theatres-30th-anniversary-gala-part-3-sync/ If there are any issues with this post, please do let me know. I have noted the Guidelines on flooding and if this post is allowed, I will only update the thread as and when there are reviews, if anyone is interested. Thank you!
