Commiserations to those with a “no” or a “not this time” but if you have been asked to try again, I would definitely consider it.  There really are only a tiny few places for starting after Easter and you have a much bigger chance next time for a September start.

If it’s still Miss Samaai in overall charge, she is such a wonderful teacher.

She seems so lovely. Do you think they remember them from previous auditions

We just got a no along with “Please keep on working hard because as you gain strength and build on your technique, you might be ready next year.”

Next year, not even this year!

    I’m gutted for her.

    So sorry 😔

We just got a no by email. Although it said she has potential and could be ready next time. However they could keep saying that and taking our audition money. It’s very tricky!!
    hope everyone else hears soon.

Yep same here. 2 corrections to works on and come back. Not sure we will this year though x

We got a 'no' today but they said that DD was very talented and to bring her back to the next audition, for the September start date, because they will have more places then (vs starting April) and she should be in a good position to get a place then. I am not sure we will go for it, to be honest. We might wait a year until she is 8 years old and can audition for the London associates programmes (infinitely easier logistics!). Someone earlier posted about London Junior & Seniors Ballet. They have live auditions in May and September (for September start) and they take 7 year olds as well. If anyone can advise me what the difference between auditioning in May vs September is, I would welcome their thoughts. I do not want to take over the Tring thread with an unrelated question. Congratulations to all who got a place and good luck to those still waiting! It's been fun being on this thread ... and I am glad I started it ;)

Ah sorry to hear that. She still has lots of time ahead of her. I dont know anything of the associates you've mentioned but have you thought of looking at ballet boost?

    Thank you.

She will be in group 1, we had an email yesterday. Unfortunately I can't see how many views or viewing time as we used googledrive.   Hopefully lots more results will come out on Monday and lots more with a yes . Xx

I hope she enjoys it 😍

Has anyone had a 'not yet' email?

We got 2 very short views, which I think were the 'checking if this works' views. And then 2 views for half the video length. My DD is only 7 so they stopped after the ronde de jambe, I guess when the content was moving into complex territory for her age. That said, I am not sure how youtube counts the time watched if people skip forward in a video. But that's irrelevant because I hope she doesn't have to do a video audition for a looooong time so I'd rather put that firmly in the past!

I think ours was half as well. But like you said not sure if this was with skipping forward

I guess no news is a no. We haven't had an email so I think that's the likely result. Don't they know people hang out on these forums and they should send out all the emails at once? 🤣 (joking obviously)

😂 dont they know dance mums/dads ovwrthink and like to talk 😂🙈 Did you get many views (I am deffinatly overthinking the views lol)

No not received anything. So  it looking good. In our 1st audition no letter it it said what to work harder on. So if they are putting things like that in the emails maybe that's why we havent had them yet. I'd rather not wait all weekend 😫

    Sorry *not looking good

No, can’t believe we will now till Monday.  I’m surprised they didn’t send all the emails at the same time.  You?

We haven’t heard either and I’m assuming the same - it’d be nice if they confirmed soon so we’ve got the weekend to get through the fallout of rejection rather than a school night!

I really dont want to be thinking about it all weekend. So I would rather know tonight as well

If I remember rightly, dd didn’t get a place at CBA at 11 (she did get Central Preps) but on her letter it said they would like her to audition again next time.  At the time we thought that Central every Saturday would be enough so dd didn’t audition again until Year 9, when she was accepted.  Because CBA’ s not every week, dd said she could manage both, which she did.

So yes, it’s definitely worth trying again.

I wish we lived closer to try central x

I've heard this second hand from a friend with a child at the full time school but, according to her, Tring quite like it when a child comes back for another try as it shows how much they want it!

Think there are many stories on here of people getting in after a second (or third!) audition as well.

I wonder if they have on record when they last auditioned and what feedback they had for them x

If it’s a no this time, when can they expect to audition again, do they have to wait a year or are they permitted to try again in the next auditions?

When we auditioned 2 years ago it was in June. But because of covid it may be different this year. And as far as I know they can audition again straight away x
