Okay, that's somewhat reassuring!

The ROH has never said it’s allowed so I personally wouldn’t risk it.

I guess Odette/Odile is a very ‘tortured’ role and maybe she wasn’t considered the best type of fit for the role at this stage? I wish she had been cast though! She has so much of Odette’s purity. Might struggle more with Odile though?

What does everyone think of audience members' tendency to take photos at the very end of a ballet, when the dancers are taking their bows? I can't help but find it irritating.

I assume because three new female Principals were appointed over the past two Seasons there is no longer any need for Salenko to guest. McRae is now often seen dancing with Takada and sometimes has Lamb as his partner too. If Salenko were to keep guesting she would take opportunities away from the other Principals.
It’s such a shame in a way because I adore her! But I’ve seen her in Swan Lake, Jewels and Sleeping Beauty already so I’m quite excited to see someone else.

Does anyone know why Iana Salenko isn’t guesting with the RB at the moment?

I stayed after The Nutcracker and spoke to Nicol Edmonds, Matthew Ball, and Yasmine Naghdi (all so lovely, and Yasmine let me have a picture with her)! I was just about to leave when I saw a slightly flustered looking Francesca Hayward leaving (she was performing that night). Despite being in a hurry she very kindly autographed my programme! Also stood next to (but didn’t get to speak to) Anna Rose O’Sullivan and Gary Avis. I felt a bit silly but it was great fun!

I’ve just managed to snag a ticket to see Takada and Ella in Giselle! Stalls circle row E, 20/1. There’s still a ticket left next to it. It was expensive (£115, really can’t afford it...) but I’m selling my Cuthbertson/Bonelli Amphitheatre ticket to mitigate the cost slightly 😂 For me, Takada is the ultimate Giselle!

With Cuthbertson and Bonelli. You can either have A53 or A55 (front row) of Ampitheatre. Great view; restricted legroom.
£35.

Why hasn't the RB done Cinderella for so long? I'm desperate to see it!

I really dislike the Romantic length, over-feathery concoctions for the Royal Ballet's Swan Lake:
This is much better (from the Mariinsky):
I love the RB Swan Lake tutus! They're so dreamy!
The RB's Sugar Plum Fairy tutu is probably my all time favourite.

I think Osipova/Ball and Takada/McRae will be dreamy pairings

Yay I got a second row ticket! Very excited! I wonder which dancers will be there?

That's true, she was a fabulous Juliet! It'll be interesting to see how she rises to the challenge of a seductive villain role as Odile when she eventually gets cast in SL.
