    Skintdancemum and RichieN,

Were either of your DDs in the callback at finals?

Nope no call back either . I think all that got finals have been waitlisted or offered a place .

Good luck to those still waiting to hear x

So I guess from a parent's perspective what it means is that your daughter is RBS standard, but there isn't a place.... I'll take that for now, and whatever comes up will be fine. My view is that as the number of associate centres goes from 8 in Juniors to 4 in the mids, a SWL is a fine result.

Yes that's a great way to look at it esp as our dds were not JAs and made it all the way to finals . ?

Well done to your DD, she still stands a chance. Hope she is successful. My DD didn't get a place but onwards and upwards.

Places are like gold dust I think . Let's hope for better luck for us next year x

Well done Skintdancemum - fingers crossed for some movement on that SWL. Is that for year 7? Has anyone heard of any news for yr 8 mids?

Yes that's year 7 . Think places are like gold dust in Manchester this year so not holding out much hope esp as she wasn't a JA and I'm sure they are higher up the waiting list x

  5. In shock to say my DD is one of the 2 JA girls from Eastleigh...

There are 2 girls and 2 boys with yes emails from our centre.

Those that have followed my story will know that we started this road with a "no" email from RB in yr4... So just goes to show it really does just mean "not yet"

Please don't let your lovely DC give up :x

Well done ! The teacher is obviously doing something right down there ! Hope they all enjoy it x

  6. It's a no for my DD (Y7).

I guess it's different for us, as we didn't ask to audition for White Lodge, but were invited to the final after attending the Mid Associates audition.

But while she was there, DD fell in love with the place, and is still understandably upset. But that's life. We're holding out for a mid associates place.

Well done to those who were accepted. It looked like a tough selection this year. I would not have liked the job of choosing between all those talented children.

We were the same as you only went for mids so we don't feel like we lost out on anything and I wasn't quite ready to let her go anyway . I think getting a mids place is going to be just as tough !

  7. My dd is just 11 at the end of July so will be one of the younger ones auditioning , if the other one has a birthday in September then only just missed so if talented would be a shame to miss out . Also school years in Scotland are different and not sure if still is but used to be a cut off date and end of march rather than end of August so anyone from Scotland could be slightly younger or older I suppose . Good luck to everyone and look forward to meeting some of you next week . ????

  8. What will be will be . It's a privilege to be attending finals and Will just be a fantastic experience . If they decide it's not the right time for my dd then it will mean I don't have to miss her and can keep her all to myself ! Good luck to everyone attending and enjoy it !

  9. Hi hairbelles , the email received says we have to attend both days this year .

Registration on the Friday will be from 8:30am for a 9:00am start with all dancers required to return on Saturday to continue the selection process. On the Saturday afternoon, some dancers may be asked to remain for a final recall class (call back), however all will be finished by 4.00pm.
