Good news in our household to brighten up the day.  After SWL for both JAs and MAs and for this year's Spring and Summer courses a yes for SAs.  Not sure we can accept until we know the times but delighted with the offer.

Which centre is the offer for ?

Congratulations!👏 Has she been before? Mine are not quite sure what to expect. Are there many groups? How many in a class?  Are they grouped by age/level/or a combination? Are boys trained separately? What kind of masterclasses/activities are on in the evening? So many questions! Anyone?

Yes she went last year and had the time of her life ! They are group by age and the boys are separate for some lessons but not sure if for all , classes not too big .  They have lots of fun activities at night like treasure hunt , quizzes and a disco as well as some master classes but think they tend to be geared for the older ones but the younger ones get to Watch  and learn . Hope old are your dd and ds mine is 13 x

Results from MA assessments are really quick.  They occasionally monitor children they don't feel are pushing themselves/performing to the best of their abilities.  Sylvia Hubbard will call if this is the case and give detailed feedback, including areas to focus on/suggestions of exercises.  If they are monitored, you may get a visit before Christmas break and be told if your child can continue in the January.  This all seems incredibly scary, but it really does make the children who want it go in fighting, and is designed to push them to achieve their best.  My DD is in her last year of MAs now, and she was the only one in her year group who was monitored after assessments in both years 7 and 8 - it worked though, and they do recognise their efforts, and it resulted in her gaining an SA place!

Thanks for that , that’s very helpful and well done to your Dd on gaining a SA place that’s amazing , she’s obv very talented .  Good to hear that they don’t just throw them out ! Have no problem with being monitored if required and would welcome the feedback . Be glad when it’s all over tho 😊

Unfortunately not:-( They said they had sent out the incorrect rejection letter by mistake.

Congratulations to everyone who was successful!
