  1. Yes, I would also strongly recommend Nutrition for the Dancer. Very well written and full of useful information. My 14 year old dd has had it for a couple of years and refers to it a lot. It has helped to give her a very positive approach to a healthy diet for a young dancer. She puts a lot of stuff on my shopping list because of that book!

  2. Is anyone else doing this? Does anyone have any experience of an older dd/ds going? What is the standard like? My dd is 14 and I’ve booked her onto the residential week. She was already booked onto 2 other summer schools which are very classical in nature so I was looking for something with a bit more variety and this looked ideal. However, having looked through threads on here from previous years it seems to attract mainly younger students and now I’m worried that she’ll be the oldest there!

  3. Over the last couple of years my dd has had several ‘good' and several ‘bad’ results - festivals/competitions, exams, associate programme and summer school applications etc..... We now try to look at the year as a whole, and say ‘look, you are trying for success in 10 things this year, so 5 out of 10 would be fabulous!’ That way the rejections seem less painful, because she always has one eye on the good outcomes too :)

  4. Hi hans11 - last year associates just had to email AnneMarie and say that they wished to be considered for CAT. Their initial assessment was done during their February associate assessment. Then about 4 or 5 of them were asked to attend the Easter course to be further assessed for suitability (although I think that if you could’t do the Easter course there was a hint that an alternative assessment cold be arranged).
