  1. here's a teeny tiny moan about Fille (which is a ballet I love to bits). It drives me crazy when Lise picks up the sickles BY THE BLADES. Wouldn't those things be super sharp if you were about to go off harvesting with them???

I took my mum to see it on Saturday (her first time) and that's exactly what she said!  That and "If it's harvest time, what's the maypole doing there?"

On seeing it again last night, alone, it occurred to me to add "How come the interior of Widow Simone's house bears absolutely no relation to its features from the outside?"

  2. Thanks Alison - I've been trying to sign up for the forum for ages but was having a technical problem whereby it wouldn't accept my email address. Had to have the account set up for me by admin.

No, the end seats in the first block over the pit are not part of the day seat allocation.  The seats in row C there, when available, are for advance booking and very cheap due to the very restricted view.  It's the next two blocks along Row C, all of which are permanent seats, which have all been day tickets for the last few years, and half of which are now being converted to being bookable in advance.

  3. Reading between the lines after many years of following the day ticket situation, I believe that the number of tickets currently reserved for day ticket allocation (at least 50% of Balcony Standing, the whole of the Stalls Circle Row C benches and a larger allocation in the rear Amphi, as well as those Row D Stalls Circle ones) is actually considerably more than the 67 they claim will be available, and that the current proposals will reduce it *to* 67, not from.

    Could be wrong though.

It's only since last Christmas that the ones at the end of SC row D have ended up being put online after the morning queue, too.  They always used to say they couldn't sell them online as people used to complain that the fairly extreme restricted view hadn't been adequately explained.  Why that applied to those places and not the far more restricted-view ones in Balcony B, I don't know.
