Dress circle or stalls? Centre dress circle has restricted legroom.
My booking is front row Stalls. You get a good angle on the stage there (ie you can see the feet, unlike in the ROH front row) - and no mobile phone lights in view…- 1

Some brilliant seats available at reduced prices, too. Just what I’d been waiting for. Just picked up a front row centre seat for £50 😍

Ok I know they don't usually dance together, but how great would this be to let them have an uber romantic show as onstage partners 🤍 🦢 🤍
She’s a little tall for him as a classical ballet partner… though that doesn’t seem to have put the RB off a few other pairings lately.- 1

This has now been returned to the box office.

Bumping this topic - I’ll be returning the ticket tomorrow if nobody is interested.

RB Anemoi/The Cellist - Wednesday 25/10
Balcony Standing D32, £9
Thanks to an unforeseen commitment I can’t use my ticket for this performance. Please get in touch if you’d like to buy it.

I unexpectedly have a spare Stalls Circle Standing ticket (D11) available for tonight’s performance. £9. Please drop me a line if interested.

D31, which ought to be full view unless the person in the first wheelchair space in row B isn’t sitting too high or too far forward!
I used some weird kind of double negative here. For “unless” read “as long as”.

(D32 and 33 are advance booking tickets rather than Friday Rush, but have a perfect view and are my tickets of choice if I can get them. I was in D32 on Thursday for Tosca.)

D31, which ought to be full view unless the person in the first wheelchair space in row B isn’t sitting too high or too far forward!
D30 adjacent is behind a pillar, and the ones in C and (particularly) B are seriously restricted-view by virtue of being round the sides and with heads in the way. Hence D31 being the one truly acceptable option IMO.

Sorted now - scored my favourite balcony standing spot in Friday Rush.

Hi all,
I’m interested to hear from anyone with a spare decent Stalls Circle Standing ticket for the 22nd December performance of The Nutcracker. Drop me a line if you are able to help.

Gone now - thanks!

Hi all,
SCS D48 available for the RBS matinee - £5.
(I mentioned this a while ago on that thread I started when some extra tickets were released & I upgraded, but as I expected, the topic got a bit lost!)
Please PM if interested.

Wow Ruth Thankyou so much for this!!
I was at ROH yesterday and they had nothing as I’ve been looking every day as well as on Forum and somehow imagine the box office have access to info we don’t lol!!
Anyway am in a cafe just round the corner as going to Chocolate tonight and was checking tickets and saw your post and just bought one of the tall seats in Row B in the Balcony and now have just read they have good view 😊 I’m such a happy bunny so many thanks again for this alert!
I have a good friend who works in the box office and can say categorically that he rarely knows anything that I, as a member of the public, can’t easily find out for myself. The Row B seats are loose seats, but not tall seats (they’re dining-chair style, with tall seats behind in row C). They are particularly well-raked so that even if the people in front are leaning forward, you get barely any view restriction.

It looks like most if not all of the newly-released tickets are as a result of declaring wheelchair + companion places as available for general seating. For anyone who isn’t aware, the loose seats priced at £39 in Row B of the Balcony are a particularly good view for the price.

And the fact that I now have good seats means I also have a SCS £5 standing ticket available to a good home - D48. DM if interested.
-
Having been checking a couple of times a day for a while but finding the RBS Matinee constantly sold out, the ROH website is currently showing a substantial handful of tickets available in several price brackets. At the time of writing there are 40 tickets available (there were 42 but I’ve just bought some!)

Yes I noticed a few weeks ago that Snag had started making convertible dance tights - I mentioned it on social media but didn't think of sharing it on here. I haven't tried them yet but am a big fan of their other products.

Chelsea Ballet are having a week of adult ballet summer school running for six days starting on Monday August 15th.
This year it’s being held at the Central School of Ballet studios.
Linda, do you know if this is likely to be a daytime course, or after working hours? I did look on their website but I don’t think it says!(Typing this from my office on Blackfriars Road 😉)

Also at the Insight Vanessa Palmer, who danced in it herself (and was a nice Ashton dancer), said that it's almost soloist work rather than the usual corps de ballet thing.
Yes - I was there, and I can see that both Scenes and Rhapsody require very high-quality ensemble dancers. My point really was in response to people saying what a marvellous mixed bill this is and that it should be brought back - I wasn’t sure how versatile (in terms of how it fits into a season) such a mixed bill can be, given that it doesn’t use half the company. -

Waiting for my last dose of Rhapsody as I type this… just found this afternoon’s performance of Rhapsody so beautiful that I sort of cried - don’t get out much these days me thinks.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to listen to the Big Tune again without being taken back to the moment when it opened the RB mixed bill they did between lockdowns in November(?) 2020. It was the first time I’d heard an orchestra in 8 months, and it nearly destroyed me. Now, since last night’s rehearsal, I’ve relived that feeling 3 times in not much more than 24 hours 😭- 3

Please bring this triple back next year! Best for a long time. Such a perfect showcase for the RB's gloriously talented - and varied - dancers.
Yes, but… it seems to use mostly the same corps/ensemble dancers in (edited to add: all shows of) both Scenes and Rhapsody, especially the women. Are lots of people out with injuries at the moment, or is this particular set of dancers available because it’s a particularly good fit with other dancers’ schedules preparing for other repertoire, or some other consideration I haven’t thought of? The company’s youngest dancers mostly don’t feature at all.- 2

Indeed - with any such discount, my criteria are: what price would I be prepared to pay for this seat, and does this deal fulfil that? I think my £50 seat would have been £85 at full price, but I was looking for a deal at £50 or less and I never really thought there would be one that included front row.
