Hi

Just wanted to know if anyone has knowledge of the chance of getting a place off swl - dd has swl for yr 6 London. I can't imagine places hardly ever become available which is fine, we are happy with swl and her current associates programme. But wondered if anyone knew realistically what the chances were.

Petal violet hope dd is ok. Very sorry to hear it was a no but she is only Young and has a place at YDA and tring so hooray!

Have to agree that today has been so much more bearable (and entertaining) because of everyone's posts. I wouldn't have even known JAs or associates courses existed if it hadn't been for this forum - it's an absolute treasure trove of info and support for parents like me who have no knowledge of the dancing world.

I liked as many as i could but 'liking' privileges have now been revoked again.

Just wanted to say to those with nos remember it's just a 'not now' not a 'never'. Ds auditioned last year and got straight no, this year swl. She has worked very hard in last 12 months and it has paid off. So keep going!

Ps my 'like' quota must have been topped up as I am able to like again now??

Oh it's not fun is it. I think southerndancemum dd auditioned Eastleigh (for london place?? Correct me if I'm wrong). So I don't think there has been news yet on here from London auditions ...

Balletnewbie - Sorry to hear about your no, and that DD is upset, but I understand your relief!!

Apparently the reports were all sent by email last week and if you haven't received yours you should get in touch with them and they will resend (just had email through from Mary).

Congratulations all the yeses, and sorry about the nos. Hope DC are taking it ok.

We are waiting for London, yr 6, although not expecting a positive outcome, simply because there seemed to be at least 100 girls auditioning for a year 6 place the day we were there, and there are so very few places in year 6!!! DD thoroughly enjoyed the audition and came out beaming saying she felt she had done her best so am pleased with this, whatever the outcome.
