BBO TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS LEVEL 3, 4 AND 6 APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR 2015 The British Ballet Organization (BBO) offers Level 3, 4 and 6 (degree equivalent) Teaching Qualifications in either Classical Ballet or Commercial Theatre for students aged 18+, professional dancers and teachers with monthly or long distance options for busy professional people. The next cohort will be commencing early 2015, for which we are now accepting applications. The BBO also offers various CPD opportunities throughout the year including Health, Safety and Safeguarding, and Bio-medical Considerations in Dance Teaching. The British Ballet Organization (BBO) has last minute availability for their course in Health, Safety and Safeguarding on Saturday 2nd August. The course is crucial for anyone working in regular, physical contact with children. Successful completion of the course will result in: knowledge of the legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people; full understanding of the correct protocol for treating ill or injured children and young people and knowledge of the appropriate response to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused, harmed or bullied. DATE: Saturday 2nd August 2014 TIME: 9.30am - 5pm VENUE: HJA, Beckenham. Kent. Junior and Senior courses are being held in either Jazz or Ballet for dance students aged 9 - 18 years with weekly and daily rates available. The BBO Summer School is directed by Mary Goodhew (former Ballet Principal at Royal Ballet School, White Lodge and Artistic Director of Elmhurst School for Dance in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet) and taught by a distinguished faculty of professional dancers. Students will participate in exciting and varying classes ranging from sessions that focus on technical elements to improve strength, flexibility and co-ordination to learning about life in the theatre and within professional companies. Both Ballet and Jazz courses will get the opportunity to learn repertoire.
