The Wiener Staatsballett are showing a livestream of John Neumeier's Le Pavillon d'Armide and Le Sacre on Monday 13 March.
The cost is €14 (£13.03). I've watched livestreams from there before and the quality is very good (depending on your broadband speed I suppose). What I really like is that you may choose what time to view it - within 72 hours of the original livestream. There is a downloadable programme booklet and you can also view subtitles on your iPhone/android.

Thank you so much for this article Irmagard. Very informative. I wish the ENB would film it as it is a very good production.
There were cameras at the performance last night.

When I was there last August, I saw a mouse near the stairs in the Paul Hamlyn Hall. It definitely put me off my sandwich. It probably has something to do with the building works but I certainly won't be eating there again until the works are complete

A cinema chain in Ireland is showing a modern dance production of Anna Karenina on 19th January 2017.
"Directed and choreographed by Angelica Cholina, this Vakhtangov Theatre production of ANNA KARENINA is a modern dance interpretation of Leo Tolstoy's classic novel."
It is also being shown in the UK and US – use this link to find cinemas. Link to a short video here.

This has been my worst ballet day experience. I've had all the problems mentioned above and now when trying to watch the San Francisco Ballet it's showing the Royal Ballet class from this morning. I've tried different locations (work, home, friend's house), different devices (PC, tablet, smartphone) and the various websites, I've cleared the cache and shut down/restarted the devices - all to no avail.

Please don't miss the Palau de la Musica de Catalunya it's stunning, you're best to do the guided tour as that's the only way to see inside and all the exquisite décor. Tours are on the hour I think.

I just looked at their programme and there's quite a bit of flamenco available there too.
Apologies for not replying sooner Don Q Fan, but I'm just back from my trip. Unfortunately, I didn't see your post until after I had left Barcelona so didn't get to follow your advice. However, I will definitely be back in Barcelona again and will do the tour then.

Oops - forgot about that :-). I don't really want to go the touristy route but I'll certainly check out the gothic cathedral on Sunday.
Thanks for taking the time to respond with suggestions - much appreciated.

I'm going to be in Barcelona for a couple of days. Can anybody recommend a good flamenco show? I'd like to avoid the touristy ones!

Don't forget your public library - even if they don't stock a book they can borrow it from another library for you :-)

I wish the Drina and Sadlers Wells series would be republished. I can no long remember the proper series order for either of them and Amazon's now very unreliable search engine refused to produce them too.

- Veronica at the Wells (1951)
- Masquerade at the Wells (1952)
- No Castanets at the Wells (1953)
- Jane Leaves the Wells (1953)

This Wikipedia article lists the Drina books in publication order and provides a synopsis for each: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mabel_Esther_Allan
I've double-checked against some library catalogues and it seems accurate as to dates.edited to correct typo

I am desperate to find a Y A book called "A Circling Star" by Mara Kay about a child at the Mariinsky ballet school during the last years of the 19th century. I read it as a child.

Waterstones is showing this as available for pre-order (due to be published 31 Oct 2016) - cost £12. Looks as if they might be going to reprint it.

Jillykins,
"I have longed to find a book called A Star Danced about Pavlova. I can't remember who wrote it."
It was written by Gladys Malvern. Full title is Dancing Star: the story of Anna Pavlova, published 1942. There is a Kindle edition available on Amazon and second-hand print version.

Here is a amazing dry spin of a video posted TODAY by a 39.5 week pregnant ASHLEY BOUDER, (a principal with NYCB) - and only four days from her registered due date - in class. I won't be surprised if her child - when he/she chooses to make their ultimate entrance unto our world - has a truly EXTRAORDINARY sense of balance. If so, it will have been well and very truly fashioned by an extraordinary talent who might yet bring new meaning to the phrase - 'MOTHER of all ballerinas' .
Baby Violet Storm was born earlier today: http://www.dancespirit.com/news/ashley-bouder-mom/

The full programme for the Dublin Dance Festival (17-28 May) is now available.

Thank you for the information Ambros1a. It looks as though it will be an excellent programme. Unfortunately the dates are no good for me but I would have loved to see Alonzo Lines company.
Sorry to hear that Janet. I got my ticket for Alonzo King LINES Ballet today and I'm delighted to be able to see the Crystal Pite in Dublin, thus saving money on a trip to Sadler's Wells

I'm going on the 16th. I saw Yuan Yuan Tan and Damien Smith (San Francisco Ballet) dance the pas de deux from After the Rain a couple of years ago and really liked it. So I'm looking forward to seeing the complete ballet (and of course the PDD again!)

I emailed the company and they sent me a cast list and synopsis. It's a PDF file. If anybody wants a copy, just PM me with your email address and I will forward it on. Alternatively perhaps I could send it to one of the moderators and they could upload it here if that is permitted?

THE VAKHTANGOV THEATRE’S ANNA KARENINA

I saw this in the cinema in January and would definitely recommend it. It would be a good idea to refresh your memory as to the story of Anna Karenina (AK) before going, as it is a bit confusing as to who is whom at the beginning. Olga Lerman was terrific as AK I thought.
