  2. Dancing 2003. Yes it will be hard when she had a favourite but good news she offered a place and hopefully that will bolster her confidence for the next audition. Fate takes a hand and we do not know the big plan for their lives, that is what i intend to say to my daughter when our time comes. Good luck.

  3. Tray.... brill idea DD always wears her food on our eating out days.

I think we all need to remember that the best healthiest, nutrious food does not have to be hot or cooked!.

If you are really concerned with nutrition etc raw veg like carrots, mange tout, sugar snap pears, red pepper and maybe hummus or prawns/tuna in small bit of mayo would we better for you than a huge bowl of dead pasta. Veg omelette i like a asparagus one cold for breakfast.

Make your own cereal bars from the healthy muesli or maybe just muesli with plain yog instead of milk.

i take the opportunity to get nuts into my daughter on car journeys as they are now banned from her school.

  4. Have printed out the forms and looking to get photos done but it seems such a daunting task. No choice though it has to be done.

Will be looking for Year 7 place at usual schools ..... Would love to meet up with anyone else whilst girls doing the auditions...

  5. My DD going into Year 6 and have always struggled to get a pair to fit with wide feet but slim heel.....NO startrite/ecco/hush puppies to fit ended up with a similar clarks pair and two days out of my life in shoe shops!!

I have drummed it into her it is how they fit..... if you want to dance you have to take care of your feet....Think the Dr Martens are the way to go. Where can you get them fitted??

  6. I too unsure about sizing .... was going to go by the girth!! which in my ignorance I am presuming is nape to throat via crotch.

if anyone has NYB leotard/fleece from last year that they would like to sell on please Pm me..... thanks

  7. My 9 DD went this summer and stayed. She was taken under the wing of the older girls and loved it.... As we knew no one that was going i was a bit concerned but they kindly sent me a copy of the previous years DVD so DD could see what it was like. My DD was doing Grade 3/4 during that time and said it wasnt difficult. She loved all the evening entertainment. Turned up and watched the show which i thought was lovely. DD only phoned home about twice during the week (and that was to ask for spare tights!!).

  8. I must say as this is our first experience it is very daunting!! DD has been accepted after one audition but like all of us I expect JA is the dream!!. My concern is about accepting an alternative place before JA's out. Perhaps we should still dream a bit longer and be thankful she has got something.

I spent last night reading about the school shoes and swayback etc etc.

I feel relief that there is other mum's out there to talk to..... hubby just does not get it !!!
