I just wanted to congratulate everyone who took part in Swan Lake at Nottingham. I watched both performances on Saturday and was overwhelmed by the quality of the dancers. My daughter was a cygnet and had the best time ever. She has now gone into mourning as it's all over and especially now that she knows that the nearest location for EYB next year is York which unfortunately is too far for us to travel.

Not sure on how many grades there are after grade 6 and intermediate and I don't really want to ask the teacher as I'm not normally very tactful and don't want to rock the boat by making comparisons to other dance grades in case she thinks we want to leave., I have an idea that they are below ISTD grades, and I'm not sure whether or not these grades will look good on a dance resume CV.

Hi At my daughters dance school they take NATD exams and she has just taken grade 5 ballet. Can anyone help me in determining what ISTD or RAD grade that is equivalent to please, as we seem to be the only school that take these exams. Thank you

Hi My daughter is due to start Northern Ballet in September as an associate, and I still haven't received any invoice or handbook. I've already emailed them and enquired, but I'm still waiting. Don't want to email again as I don't want to appear too pushy. Is there anybody else in this situation? Thank you

Hi swe Many thanks for your help in answering my question. This is a new class that they have introduced this year due to large volume of numbers applying for associate scheme, so we're just so relieved that we've been lucky enough to get in. After previous rejections from Hammond, RB and Elmhurst it's nice that she's finally been given a chance, and I must admit when we visited Northern Ballet's open day earlier in the year I was very impressed with both their facilities and also the staff that we met, so fingers crossed that it will be a good move for us, although not looking forward to the travelling. Hi I've been plucking up courage to write on the forum, so here goes. Regarding Gazelles question about whether Northern Ballet Associates have to reaudition every year, I too would like to know the answer, as my daughter is due to start this September as an Inter Foundation Associate, so any help would be appreciated.
