We are staging a production of Joseph at our secondary school and I have to produce 14 blue tutus (sheaves of corn/stars) with no money! Does any one have any unwanted blue leotards or tutus (well it's worth an ask!) to fit year 8 - 10?

We started lessons at a second school because my DD was not progressing and getting bored. When I let the first teacher know, she informed us she would not accept her back as a pupil, i.e. chucked us out! This was extremely distressing at the time, but has come to be the best outcome all round - dd has now regained her love of ballet and is back to really enjoying her dancing and making good progress.

It was a no for us too, for a RBS Year 5 place . But a yes for Midland Theatre Ballet so really enjoying that experience, and also our 'home' dance school, which is excellent. We enjoyed all this year's auditions, which were very different, it is all part of a journey...

Good luck everyone, we've already had the 'no' from Elmhurst so we're not really expecting anything from RBS, but you never know...

dd is group A, so exciting!

Looking forward to the first rehearsal tomorrow - any tips/things to remember? Our first time with MTB, very excited!

Wow, just come back from the Crescent Theatre and so impressed by this afternoon's performance. We actually forgot at times that this was all done by children and young people as the standard was so high, it was a pleasure to watch and the costumes were fab. Lovely to see loads of personality coming through and young people really enjoying themselves - a massive well done and dd now can't wait to start rehearsals next weekend :-) we even had to buy a MTB pen which is now her best and most precious!

we're looking forward to seeing the performance tomorrow afternoon :-)

We saw it on Saturday afternoon and it was wonderful, new, vibrant and fun. The jewels were fantastic, it sent shivers down the spine! Elisha Willis danced a magical Princess (my girls both whispered 'it's Jasmine!' when she came on!) 

Just a perfect ballet really!

According to Sir Robert Winston, there is an accurate predictor of height which involves roughly doubling the child's height at the age of 2 (can't remember the exact formula).

My mum accurately predicted both my and my brother's heights using the double the height at 2 method. Not much use for an application form though!

is there a minimum age to take part?
