  1. My 15 year old daughter (UK) has got a place this year and has never applied before. We sent off the required photos and copy of last exam report. She's really looking forward to it.

  2. Does anyone know what happens if they are lucky enough to be chosen and would like to do both weeks? What happens on the Friday when most go home and the second week students don't arrive until the Saturday ? Are they allowed to stay overnight at the university? Are they supervised or do parents have to collect them?

  3. I've got a dancing daughter and a footballer son. The young boy may well get picked up later when he's older as many academies have either a development centre or a shadow squad where they can be monitored and not lost in the system. We've also heard this in the ballet world too, getting assessed out then get back in when older. There are so many similarities in the football world as in the dance world including having the 'right body' therefore my son and daughter are very appreciative of each other with all the highs and lows. The main difference is the money. Football courses are cheaper and my son has come back with a certificate as standard and often on top of that he's come back with medals, footballs, tickets to matches and tshirts etc.He has also met premier league players and former pro players who have chatted with them. Whereas my daughter has attended some and not even received a certificate.

If my son or daughter doesn't make it as a professional I certainly won't regret any time or money spent on dancing or football. My daughter started at 2 1/2 and my son 4 1/2. They are both very intelligent and well rounded children. They are doing extremely well in school and have a lot of discipline and respect towards others. They are organised and very fit and healthy. My son loves his six pack :) I mentioned it to the head when they started secondary school and he said that busy pupils always do well at school and to keep it all up. Well it appear to be true. So if they don't make it on their chosen fields they will have their education. We don't have a day free between the two of them but I'd much rather watch my son play football or watch my daughter do her class than sit and watch the soaps :)

  4. My daughter uses boots own brand foot care products that contain antiseptic regularly she found it was nice to massage her feet and uses the spray to cool them down.they are a lot cheaper than other products. However avoids when she has an open cut; keeping the area clean and dry with a suitable dressing. She found that if she wears her pointe shoes in she doesnt tend to get cuts or blisters anymore so tends to have two pairs on the go.Be careful with anti inflammatory s a they should not be taken on an empty stomach and should not be taken if you have asthma. I would see a chiropodist if there is pain. We only had to wait two weeks in the area we live. A gp will refer.

  5. Has any of you any experience of this? Just wondering how long after the closing date do you find out if you have a place ? Also it states in the website that for younger ones at Covent garden there is a supervised youth hostel. Roughly how much does this cost? Does it include meals? Are they supervised in travelling to the upper school? Any information would be a help. Thanks

  6. My daughter is going. I went on London Town.com and put in the name of the road ENB Is on. A list of hotels then came up with various prices and the walking distance from ENB! Which I though was great :) I then chose a hotel then went on different sites to find the best price for the hotel. My daughter is really looking forward to it as she has never done anything at ENB in London before.
