BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN FOR OUR PROJECT B CELEBRATION 

SUNDAY 7 APRIL 2024

 

Join us this Easter to celebrate our successful ongoing programme Project B with a focus on boys and men in dance.

 

This programme has given us the opportunity to develop and create partnerships, find and support talent and encourage emerging male dancers. For this celebration will open our doors and share further learning, talking and dancing together with inspiring teachers and professionals from the industry.

Workshops

A range of dance classes including: Hip Hop, body percussion, street dance and ballet in our stunning RAD studios delivered by leading male practitioners.  

 

Competition

Are you or do you know a male dancer between 8-17 years old wanting to show your skills as a solo performer? Now is your chance!

We want to see solos (in any style excluding tap) created by the dancer, a teacher or a peer. These will be performed in front of an audience and panel of well-known judges with prizes to support the dancer’s career in the beautiful Aud Jebsen Studio Theatre.  Tickets for this performance can also be purchased separately.

 

Photo exhibition

Are you creative with a camera? Capture those fleeting dance moments and show us the depth and breadth of your dance world through our photo exhibition Men and Dance. This photo exhibition is supported by dance photographer Chris Nash after his inspiring Masterclass which you can now view online.  We are giving participants the chance to enter their photos on the theme of Men and Dance and have them displayed at the Royal Academy of Dance HQ during the month of April.    

The wider weekend celebrations also include a panel talk, observation opportunities and guest performances and CPD for teachers.

Dancers are welcome to participate in one or all of the events above depending on how keen they are!
