Guest oncnp
From the Scottish Ballet Bethany Kingsley-Garner will retire from dancing on stage and leave Scottish Ballet after her final performance in Cinders on 19 January 2024. After graduating from The Royal Ballet School, Beth joined Scottish Ballet in 2007 and was promoted to Principal in 2016 after performing the role of Odette/Odile in Swan Lake. Since then, she has made a memorable stamp on roles in our repertoire including The Nutcracker, The Scandal at Mayerling, The Snow Queen, A Streetcar Named Desire, Romeo & Juliet, Emergence and The Crucible. Aside from being an inspiration to audiences and dancers, Beth is a proud mum to her daughter Elizabeth and recently became the Modern Ballet ambassador at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. and from Ms Kingsley-Garner https://www.instagram.com/p/C0ThH3nov3J/?next=%2F Edited December 1, 2023 by oncnp
Emeralds
I enjoyed seeing Bethany dance in London when Scottish Ballet performed MacMillan's Le Baiser de la Fee at the Royal Opera House. Wishing her all the very best for her future endeavours!
AllAboutTheJourney
We were at Bethany's final performance on Friday evening and it was a really beautiful evening. She performed as the Princess in Cinders (with a male Cinders - Bruno Micchiardi) and Christopher Hampson came on stage and gave a very moving speech after the curtain calls. Lots of beautiful bouquets and the company all threw roses as she took her final bow. There are several videos on Scottish Ballet's social media - she was evidently moved by the speech and the audience reaction. Lovely night. 6
