  1. The open morning is for current parents and prospective students/parents. I don't think there is a performance as such, but you do get the opportunity to view classes.

I think the carol service started at around 2pm last year, you don't need tickets but I think we were advised to get there early as it is very popular! ????

  2. DD is due to start in September in yr 7 - she has the MDS award too but understand they are means tested we know roughly what to expect contribution wise but were wondering do they allow monthly payments or just termly ? Would be much better for us if monthly allowed - any advice welcome X

    I have pm'd you :)

  3. We had a YES for London for one of DD's classmates today but not sure if he counts as "London" results as they had to audition in Southampton last minute due to an error over audition dates? Very exciting!!

It goes on venue auditioned at. We auditioned in London for a Newcastle place. Everyone who auditioned in Newcastle has heard. The wait goes on.....

  4. I would still take her to the audition. My dd did it for the year and was an Elmhurst and Royal associate - but there were plenty of children who weren't. They were still lovely, talented children xx

  5. Newcastle first. They send out the emails in order of the auditions. London will probably be next week sometime or maybe the week after. That's how it's been done for the last couple of years anyway ????

Hoping it's not too much longer for everyone xx

  6. They always say July, but from past experience it's always been early to mid June. Usually start sending them out the week after the last auditions, in order of venue, so Newcastle probably sometime this week, followed by whatever venue was next etc, with London results being emailed out last. It's not definite of course but in my experience (1st DD got a no on her 1st try, then a yes on her 2nd. No 2 DD got a no last year, so this year is her 2nd attempt) that's how it's been done.

Hopeully not too much longer to wait! :)

  7. If you are a school coming home from a trip on the ferry & you decide to start teasing the kids from another school don't challenge them to a dance off.

You might accidentally pick a group of kids from a full time vocational dance school!

This is brilliant!! Dd phoned me last night when they were getting off the ferry. Had a good old chuckle

  8. Thank you Janetnulty, my son's ballet teacher has texted me this morning and said she's heard might be out by the end of today!

She could be right! Last year, we had finals on Friday, got the email Monday afternoon. :)

Sending good luck wishes to all who are waiting today xx

  9. My 8 year old Ds is already an associate with LJB but he would like to audition for RBS JA's this year. He is not flexible but is trying very hard to do the splits - maybe he will be able to do them by the audition but the likelihood is that he won't and definitely not box splits. Is it worth him auditioning or is everyone auditioning very flexible and is it something that they look for? TIA

    Con :)

I watched a JA workshop in Covent Garden last year (Y6). None of the boys there could do the splits. My friends son is in full time at Elmhurst and he is getting there now, but he couldn't do them when he auditioned either. I think there needs to be a degree of flexibilty, but certainly not splits :)
