We are also looking at this. How many rehearsals were there? Is it at least 1 a week or does it vary and increase nearer the performance?

From memory, our experience was that it started with two day workshops and then went to weekly and ramped up closer to the performance. It was a fabulous experience but it was a large commitment!

  2. My daughter did Swan Lake Dreams with BRB in 2019/20 and it was a fabulous experience! I would say you need to live relative close to Birmingham as rehearsals were on weekdays as well as weekends - there were two other casts in other locations but I can’t comment on those.

We were 2 hours away and managed to make it work with a very understanding school but  it was a huge commitment!

My daughter benefitted from it hugely though and we would do it again in a heartbeat!

I assume (never knowing) multiple watches, like my DS had, were a sign of comparing a large pool of similar candidates for a much smaller than usual amount of places.

I would have thought that’s the case for most children and most spaces but I suspect there are a small handful that are definitely a yes for the first moment they see them!?

    Well done to the yeses!

@BellaF that makes me wonder if the analytics aren't actually very accurate as I'd be so surprised they would give out a yes after having watched less than 10% of the audition. So pleased for you.

I think some children are “slam dunks” for whatever reason ... the X Factor if you like! (Mine wasn’t ... lots of watching time) 😊

I’ve got a feeling that tomorrow will be results day. Has anybody had any viewings over the weekend?

Nothing since last Tuesday! Fingers crossed we can all put this behind us really soon! Good Luck everyone! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m seeing part 1 and part 3 get another short viewing this morning, roughly 1 minute each, just like a couple of days ago. This happened the other day. Again, no repeat view of the 2nd video....

I have had exactly the same but all 3 for 1 minute each! They like to keep us guessing!

Me too! We applied for London last year and we were the last centre to wait for. I think Birmingham was first. I thought Birmingham would be first again this year, so typical we have the longest wait again! Are you waiting for a Y5 result too?

    Yes Year 5!

Me too, I was thinking about 3pm ‘It’s half term and nice to have a weekend not to be thinking about ballet’, then I make the tragic mistake of looking at YouTube, and my mind is now working overtime 🤪🤯

You and me both!!! Is there anyone still waiting for first views?

Yes, last week was 9/10 min of part 1, 5 min part 2, 5 min part 3. Today is 2 min of part 1, 1 min of part 3. Each video has only been viewed twice. Definitely paying most attention to video 1.

Same here, a few days ago videos 1 and 3 viewed but for significantly shorter ... 1.24 video 1 and 10 seconds for video 3 ... who knows what this means 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Haha, ‘out of our misery’, perfect choice of words!!! My thoughts exactly!

That’s really interesting about the dates for group 3. It would be a lovely thought to know by end of next week. I think, like most people, we took photos towards end of January, and regardless of the outcome, I’ll be happy to have a break from this process 😂

My sentiment exactly - the thought of starting all over again in January is somewhat depressing but I will appreciate the few months of rest!!
Have your videos now been watched? 🤞🏻

I wonder if that’s all of group 3 decided and informed, and if all eyes are on Group 4 Birmingham videos now?

Part of me hopes they’re now impatient to finish the epic 2020 JA audition process and not take another 3 weeks to make their decisions.

Though I’m sure as a matter of fairness they’ll take the full time.

I think all Group 3 results were out on same day 🤷🏻‍♀️
I think Group 3 results were out in shy of 3 weeks (submission by 5th and results 23rd) so we can hope they will put us out of our misery ASAP 🤞🏻

Sorry for the not yets and well done to the yeses and SWL. We got a Yes! 🙂 Good luck to all those still waiting to hear audition results  xx

Congratulations! Was this a Year 4 or 5 space? (This is the hot topic for a lot of us 😂)
